Hi istel,

Happy New Year to you, too.

Yes, the extra payment was for some additional blood tests because of my extra ear piercing. I had 3 extra piercing apart from the normal 2 for females. They are already closed as I stopped using them but I still had to pay extra for it.

Hi tabs179,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

By the way, how did you get your medical notice from the visa office?is it thru email like the AOR?and how much did you pay in total for your medical exam?

thanks as always,
istel :)

I received my MR through email as well, the only difference is that the email is from CEM (Canadian Embassy, Manila) instead of CIC. I paid 5,200 pesos (usual MR fee) and the 2,600+ (not sure now, lol) extra.

You will be receiving 2 emails. (1) A standard letter from CEM requesting for your medicals to be completed within # of days. And telling you that there is a second email coming with an attachment of instructions. (2) The second email with the MR form to print out and instructions and requirements.

i submitted my application on 30/05/2013 and my sponsor submitted 28/06/2013 since then i havent heard any thing from manitoba can anybody tell me if everything is alright

hello to all,

we just finished our Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) Orientation yesterday and we find it to be very informative and will really help us settle immediately. there are so many tips given to us by the speaker.

his experience as a Canadian (born in Quebec) and as a Filipino (he is married to a Filipina), plus his talent to make the seminar lively ,makes it even more entertaining.

please dont ignore this seminar cause it will really help you adopt immediately.

also, dont forget CIIP and PDOS also. ;)

..dont forget to take PDOS before you leave... we took our PDOS last dec 26, 2013 and we were able to talk to some of the attendees. they told us that their flight will be on the same day thay they are taking their PDOS... :o

so, just think of the hassles and pressure that they have encountered before their landing... :(

Philippine govt will put a PDOS sticker label on your passports. it will be validated by our immigration at the airport.

I went to CIIP this week, Monday and Tuesday. It was a very useful seminar. I just really wish I already have the visa so that I can start applying for jobs that my personal integration officer and I looked into our 2nd day. If anyone is interested in knowing about CIIP in the Philippines, I made a blog about it: http://tabs179.wordpress.com/2014/01/09/attending-ciip-in-makati/

Anyway, I have reserved with COA on 15 January and they accept clients without visas yet, as long as they already have an MR.

1. All my original documents are already in English, there some in Filipino but there is an equivalent English language below so i uploaded them. There is a check box that says (This is a certified translation of the original document, which I have also uploaded.) i did not check the box is this correct? because my original docs is already English?

2. Here in the Philippines high school or secondary schooling is from 1st year to 4th year (4 years) i have 3 schools form my high school because i transfer and i declared every school but it says on the Document review (You must submit a diploma, degree or certificate AND a transcript of courses, for all of the education you completed, both secondary (high) school and post-secondary study.) But i have already uploaded my diploma and form 137 from high school and diploma and Transcripts on college.?

3. We just completed all the documents so by early January 2014 we will finalize and submit the application but my wife is pregnant and we will be expecting our 1st baby on 3rd week of February 2014. What shall we do? do we need to wait or just continue with the application?

4. No need to upload our NBI clearance at MPNP online application?

Thank you in advance and hoping for your response.

What an interesting read on your blog, in my opinion I think you write very well, you should look into blogging :):). I really welcome the idea of attending such seminars, do you know if they organise something similar in the UK? Would be nice to attend one of these. I'm pretty sure you will have your visa soon, all the best Tabs.
