yes, you should have an account to BPI first before you request for a bank draft. an addtl charge of 5$ is a norm for BPI. I used bank draft in paying my PF before.

Hi, Jane Smith,

"But, take note that bank draft is encashed after a month unlike Manager's check which only takes 3days" ... i will try to get Managers check instead of bank draft. the comparison in lead time really makes a difference... God bless you Jane :)

Question?...can we still use creditcard?

hi ohanne, I "think" we can use either of the ff: bank draft, managers cheque or through credit card.

comparing the 3, i will probably use managers cheque because of the fast leadtime.
I already called BPI a while ago, and they are saying that the only requirement needed is to have a personal account, much needed money because the money reflected in the manager's cheque will be debited to this same account and a P50 charge.

as ive read in the other thread, they encounter some issues if they use credit card?

Hello Ramcal,

Thank you for the useful info.. Please do you know the kind of "issues" that these other people have on the Credit Card during online payment? Because I made my PF and RPRF payments online and I got both receipts immediately in my already provided email.. Kindly share the Credit Card issues that was noticed..

Hello Ramcal & Stephen,

I also used bank draft as a mode of payment for RPRF. After I got the bank draft from BPI, I printed my full name on the back of the draft. I also printed my UCI# on a piece of paper and the words "Payment for RPRF" and placed them all in the envelope. Then I dropped it in the drop box at the Embassy.

But, take note that bank draft is encashed after a month unlike Manager's check which only takes 3days.

Hi JaneSmith...Do you know the process of using the Manager's Check to pay RPRF? I think it is better due to lead time. I thinking of using Manger's check instead of bank draft :)

hi janesmith, what is the currency of your bank draft for RPRF? is it in canadian dollars?
Do I also have to received first my medical request before paying RPRF. Thanks!

Thanks.

Additional question guys,

I inquired in BPI Pioneer Highlands and they said that i need to have a BPI account and at least one month banking history with them before they can issue a Bank draft or managers check.

My husband have an existing BPI account, is it ok if he will be the one to request for a bank draft though I'm the principal applicant? will his name appear on the bank draft?

For those who have used Managers check, BPI said that managers check is for local currency while bank draft is for foreign currency such as CAD, does it mean that its possible to pay RPRF in Philippine Peso? Did you guys encountered any problem paying in Philippine Peso?

Thanks

Hi All,

My sister applied for Canada Winnipeg Visa. When we checked the CIC, the status is displayed as Application Received and when we click on the same, it gives details as "Application was received on 30th April 2013". Nothing has happened since then. So is there anything we are missing? Just confused.

Hi, i'm new here and winnipeg is also my destination.
My timeline:
Sept.20 i submitted my on line application, and received my file # 5hours after I submitted my documents. Hope it will flow well. :)

Hi ramcal, immediately I paid for the Processing fee and the Right of Permanent Residency fee, I got acknowledgement immediately and the receipt was sent to my email address. I printed both receipts out and filled in my name, phone number and other little details they requested. It was this receipt I attached to my application package to CIO Nova Scotia.

However, my account was debited 2 days later from the card plus the little charges on the transaction. will be less than the $300

Thanks..

hi, i'd like to ask how to change address after the application was sent? I submitted my application to Winnipeg back in jan2013 and had a change in address last may2013. I already e-mailed my settlement plan, but don't know how to change my address

thank you!

If I am not mistaken, u can go back to the online application page (where we filled out the aplcation) and if I remember it right there is an option there to change your address or contact numbers. Go back to the page and check it first.
