Congrats on the test ;D and how long did they tell you to wait for Oath.

They give out a letter after the test stating to wait for 3 to 5 months.

I took the test on March 3rd and will take the oath on May 26th so I doubt you will be waiting too long! About 2 and a half months for me :D

thanks alot :) the officer said oath should be in 2 month. I hope thats true :D

Good for you. I also am keeping my fingers crossed.

I concur, I think all of us are now waiting in suspense.
I phoned cic call centre and no update whether they are working on our rq file. They did say at the interview if they needed any other documents they would notify us. So took the test and yet have no indication how long to Oath for us or even if the rq file has been assigned to an officer.

So all I do now is wait and see and drive 10km to my mail box often incase there is a letter and then 10km back. I have no choice cause they do not update e-cas. ::)

20 kms to and from? That is a long drive. Aren't you from Wpg?

I wish I lived 20 Km from Winnipeg... I have to drive 650 km to get there... unfortunately that is the closest citizenship office...

We took the citizenship exams yesterday, May 6th. We all passed (3 of us in the family). Officer congratulated us and said oath will be in 3-5 months? Does it really take that long?

Congratulations Aspire! Looks like its between 3 to 5 months. That is also what I was told when I was interviewed after the test. Hopefully its sooner.

Well done you guys, now for the really difficult part-------WAITING FOR THE OATH.
Hopefully soon for all of us. :D

Hey guys,
Been reading this thread sporadically but now I have something to contribute!
I applied for citizenship mid-June 2014, and got my letter for my test last week - test is on 20th May. I think my file got a bit delayed in the early stages, as I contacted CIC and they said my initial letter had already been sent out, but I never received it. So they reposted with the study guide, which I got in September 2014. Then I heard nothing until just now. I stopped checking the online portal as it was frustrating me!
So now I've just got to study!
Good luck to those waiting ;)
