for all the Windsor folks who traveled to the US for work on a daily basis, did you face any trouble or questions with regard to your application? I traveled to the US for almost 1.5 years 3 times a week for work but used to come back the same day. Just curious about how IRCC sees cases like ours.

Also, I have finished 1095 days of my stay in Canada but 5 years of my PR ends in Jan 2022. Can I still apply for citizenship or do I have to wait full 5 years before applying? Thanks in Advance

This should not be the issue. You need to mention all your travel history to US from Windsor for all that period which I assume is going to be extensive.
If you go and come back on same day, you still get a complete day inside Canada present.

No. You do not have to wait for Jan 2022 to apply. As long as you have 1095 days accumulated within last 5 year period from the date of your application submission, you are good to go.

You dont need to wait till 5 years. PR status never ends. You eligibility for citizenship is rolling 5 years of previous years on the date of application.
Once you give a month buffer above 1095 days then you can apply and dont wait.

People even moved to US and waiting on processing the application hence no issues on commuting and applying.

same boat as you guys test 11 june update on tacker 14th june after that dead meat i have a strong hunch oath is next tho i am tempted tosend them my passport full copies by webform just in case what do you guys think to speed up the process?

No issues with PR card being expired. You can even travel with expired PR. Just keep the COPR in case, but entry to Canada can be done simply by showing Ontario DL. I had a total 198 entries as identified in GCMS notes. Majority of the 94 pg. document is filled with entries. I can only imagine the pain of the IRCC officer entering all the travel history manually into the system while issuing AOR. But yes, you can have as many entries as you actually did and should be fine. Just remember to provide all your travel history back and forth (even if its for an hr to Detroit). Good luck!

One Feb2020 applicant gave oath this month. His/her test was in May hence we need to see what happens next month.

no i havent i am just seeing a trand that oat or interview happens after one month so i am going to wait till august and then see what happens.

They are probably working on test invites, validation and interviews til oct, now slowly moving to oath. I havent seen any nov applicants receiving test invites yet. How long after test did any of you receive interview/passport pages request? Now a days they are moving away from interviews I guess.

I hope that they work on test completed candidates before they issue more tests.

Interview should be the last resort for them as they should be trying first to get more documents to confirm any detail they have doubt about. They should be completing first half of 2020 candidates first and move to second half but it doesnt happen that way hence will see how they do for oath invites.

Yes, no passport copy request yet. Background complete in Jan2021. Not all will get it hence not sure we would get.
Test completed 5th Jul2021. Rest In-Progress. Of course, oath is not started.

Yes. Background passed in March and Test passed on July 5th. Rest in progress and Oath not started
