Guys, the tracker was updated yesterday, asking for the FP. but haven't received an email yet.
Do I need to have a letter to give FP or I can submit them without getting a letter?

Applied :Aug 14, 2020
AOR Jan 27, 2021
Test: May 26, 2021
FP : July 7th 2021

Yes. Only the Test was completed.
Was BG check not showing completed earlier? I wonder why they suddenly asking now instead of asking before the test.
But in one way its good that they asked after test instead of holding your test.

It never showed completed. Yeah, it's strange.
Thats why fingerprint request since it was not at all complete and it was pending from officer to raise the fingerprint request.
But good that officer had sent the test without waiting even though he/she would have sent this fingerprint request at that time itself but its what it is but not too late is good.

Was your letter generic or any specific instructions were mentioned.

Its generic asking to provide fingerprints within 90 days. PDF attached to the email will have the address where FP need to be sent. Print first 3 pages (unless you need it in french) and take it to either Commissionaires (56$) or A1 fingerprinting ($50). Called them both and based on input from this forum, Commissionaires update quicker. email text below:
