Congrats! My oath email came exactly one week after the test, and ECAS never updated with the oath invitation. I checked my ECAS after our oath ceremony and it states "Complete", and jumps from the test invitation directly to "you became a Canadian Citizen on March 21".

Maybe if you're lucky you'll get the April 25 ceremony :)

It could also be April 11. There are 2 ceremonies in April

This is true, however, the interviewer told me that she was going to try and get me into the 'end of April' ceremony as it is held at the office, rather than at a school (which is the one coming beginning of May, i'm told). She is doing this in hopes to make it easier for me. I just had my knee totally replaced a few weeks ago. Standing, sitting, walking, stairs. They are all still a bit of challenge in long increments. Would be awesome to see the 11th though, I must admit! :D

December Applicant from Windsor - Row '87'.

Received letter dated March 27th requiring me to take FP for myself only (no such requirement for my spouse yet).
The letter requires me to take Electronic FP within 30 days of the date the IRCC letter was signed i.e March 27th.
I am currently out of Canada and scheduled to return on Friday April 20th (Landing at Toronto). This means that the first working day falls on Monday April 23. I plan to get appointment from RCMP for Monday April 23rd from outside Canada.

Any idea how long does RCMP take to send FP to IRCC - any experience from Windsor applicants?

Only took a couple days for RCMP to get information to IRCC for my prints. Took IRCC roughly 6-7 weeks afterward to update my file. Not sure it will be the same for you though. You'll have to get your prints done and wait to see.

Thanks for the response

We completed our journey and took the oath today with 53 other new Canadians in Windsor. Thank you all for your feedback, support and knowledge over the past six years that I have been a member of this site. I'll continue to lurk and lend a hand whenever possible.

Good luck to all of you, and hang in there! The road may be long and very frustrating at times, but it will come to you eventually.

Hello! Congrats again for becoming a Canadian citizen.

Can you please share us your Oath experience.
I am going to attend my oath in a few weeks, and I want to get ready for that special day.

Anyway, did the officers check all the original documents you brought during the oath?
I know for sure they will check the original COPR and PR cards, but how about the passports and other supporting docs that we submitted and brought during the interview?

And another point, how long did it take for the ceremony to take place? An hour, two hours?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
