Hi friends,

I just received my ON PNP certificate, but in the meantime I got a decent job offer from my home country.

Now I have the option to submit my PR application to CIC before I leave Canada, but have no idea if they will decline me in the future, because of my future absence in Canada. I am worrying about this because each province requires their PNP applicant to demonstrate his/her intention to stay all the time. I wondered if CIC has the same requirements.

I am having difficulties deciding whether I should take risks to apply for PR while leaving Canada, or should I give it up and wait for a couple of years to apply through Express Entry in my home country. Or is there a way for me to (anonymously) consult a CIC agent or a trusty lawyer in regarding to this?

Could anyone share any suggestions or experience? And has anyone successfully got the PR while being outside Canada during the application, as a PNP holder? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

(A little background: My PNP certificate is only valid for paper-based PR application, instead of through Express Entry. My PNP was under Master's student stream, which was not based on any job offer. And I have also applied for the Post Graduate Work Permit, meaning that I should be able to return to Canada to work within the next two or three years.)

It wont affect but its only taking 8-12 months to get PR nowadays as the number of files are reduced and EE is online already. Even if you go for 2-3 years and again you need to restart the same which will again delay 2-3 years and we dont know what rules will change at that time.

Thanks a lot for your response. So the CIC wouldn't care whether I am inside or outside Canada, is that correct? But each province clearly wants their PNP applicants to be physically residing in their province. Wouldn't the CIC require this for these nominated applicants?

i have visa until 31/10/2015
i have wp until 31/12/2015

my question if i go for holiday can i enter after 31/10/2015 bcz i have valid work permit

you should stay in canada during the waiting period, since they will call the employer to make sure whether you still work there

Thank you. By waiting period, are you referring to the PNP application being processed by the province? or the PR application being processed by CIC? I was nominated under Master's stream which didn't require a job offer during the PNP application. But do I need a job offer to be processed by CIC for the PR application?

Cic might ask for current paystubs anytime (though I am a pnp applicant they asked for me) so if you dont submit you will be obvioisly denied. Its all ur luck and fate.

But Ontario Masters category is without job offer, so I don't think it matters much if one has a job or not. Though one definitely has to stay within the province without long absences.

They will ask only for employer sponsored, correct?

Thank you for your answer. During your application, have you ever been reached out by CIC to check if you were in Ontario or in Canada? And could you explain what your 'interview' was? I am very new to this forum and have limited understanding on these processes. Thanks.

Thanks. Which stream and which province you were in? Have you been required to stay employed throughout the entire application process?

I would suggest to apply for PR Outland. You are not bound to an employer ajd therefore, no one will check if you are still employed. But if you try to go through as an inland applicant, CIC might find it suspicious if you don't stay in canada. As an Outland applicant though, you are making it clear that you are awaiting PR in your home country and can tell them, you intend to move back to canada as soon as you PR is granted.

i would suggest apply then go your home country. u no need job offer so u can expliane in future if
they ask regarding your employment. there is no restrictions on ontario master program.
u dont know under any circumstances u might have to come back in future. best is stay little longer
here and gain pr. i understand u r getting better opportunity in your back home , sometime to make
short term sacrifice gives u long term benefit.rest is upto u . good luck.

hey I am BCPNP inland applicant (international graduate skills immigration). My work permit is currently expired.

So can I leave Canada and wait for my PR there??. I can tell CIC about my address change
