Hi novsaggi,

Thansk for your comments and sharing the information.

Do you mean that if we receive the PPR before the delivery, we MUST have the baby in Canada, else new application and fee. As this line says "NOTE: If you are expecting a child and are able to land in Canada before the child is born, you should do so. Failure to land before additional dependants are born will result in the need for a new application and new fees for all family members."

As per my understanding if you inform the VO before sending Passports, they can wait till the child is born and we can update our application with additional Fee and form. Can you please confirm this.

Regards,
Pankaj

As per VO:
NOTE: If you are expecting a child and are able to land in Canada before the child is born, you should do so. Failure to land before additional dependants are born will result in the need for a new application and new fees for all family members.

now they also have the criteria to complete the landing process in 365 days after the medicals are done.

Understanding both rules and the strugggles u have gone through (time and wait for canadian PR)
VO is clearly mentioning that at this stage if your family composition increases before landing, ur current application will be let go and the process restarts for you.

I understand that it is a tricky situation for you. but VO will not wait until after delivery for your PPR.

Hi novsaggi

Thanks for your comments. I think criteria to complete landing process in 365 days after medical is already there. But from your comments I understood that VO will not pause our application in case we want to have the baby outside Canada before the landing process?

Can only confirm this please.

Pankaj

If your family composition changes before landing, you will need to submit all your documents again to reflect your baby being born (you have an additional family member and dependent). If the counterfoils and CoPRs have been issued, you may need to pay nominal fees to reissue them.

Therefore, if the PPR takes a while to arrive, I would highly encourage you to let them know *before* they issue the landing documents if you won't be able to land in time. Don't get the visa and CoPR and then decide not to land.

BTW, they will be reasonable, especially since after a certain point during pregnancy you can't travel anymore ;) It's not simply that you don't want to land...

Hi Friends,
I have completed the Medical late July 2012 but not PPR yet. Should I plan for baby now (August) or should I wait for something firm (PPR) before pregnant? (my wife is now 40 and I am eager to have another baby ASAP). Thanks your your comments!

hi nhactre99,

well this is something really up to you, and it totally depends on your priorities...

one of the things i discovered in this life, is that life is so lovely while you are watching your kids grow up with you :) but again it depends on your priorites and plans, but if i was in your case i would wait till PPR is being issued and then go ahead with planning for another baby.

Dear All,

Thanks for your answers to my query. In simple words I want to know is it possible that when i receive PPR, depending upon the time to delivery I inform the VO that I would like to have the baby outside Canada, Will they allow me to "wait" till the child is born and can we add the child to our current application with additional fee?

Regards,
Pankaj

I would really advice you NOT to wait any further. You should go ahead in planning your next baby. As, medically speaking, the risk of congenital malformations in the child increase exponentially with every year of age of the mother above 35 years. Everything else can wait. You should not wait for PPR, or any other document or confirmation from CIC. It will come. Your life and future of your child are far more important than anything else in this world. Having a disabled child is very traumatic for all.
So, my advice would be to GO AHEAD with your baby plans. What do you want more? Medicals are already over, man!

I am a Doctor and I do not agree to that. Medically, it is very risky to wait now and then deliver at a late age. As such, getting pregnant after the age of 35 years, exposes a person to a high risk for serious developmental problems with the child. These are permanent and disabling for the child. So, please do not give such advices of waiting, if you do not know the subject.

Ind2ca,

Well this is still your point of view.Even if you are a doctor and giving your medical point point of view, it not your right to tell other people to not give advices as mentioned in your below post.

Its up to him/her to decide what to do with her/his life?? he/she opened this subject for discussion and advices.nchactre99, didn't request a medical advise only!! Giving your advises doesn't means other's advises are wrong or Invalid.

this is something you need to learn before giving your opinion or advice DOCTOR.

So nothing to worry, U may get visa in 3-4 months and baby can be delivered in Canada. Better land to Alberta coz Medical benefits may be start straight way...Toronto is horrible in this way, u would need to wait for 3 month to get registered.

congrats on becoming dad...enjoy the moment and don't discus the immigration topic with your wife...she needs to be relax !!

Thanks everybody for your advices, I have been thinking about it a lot.
Actually I have waited year and year for the MR; probably now is the time I have to make decision as my wife is getting older.
Hope everything will go as scheduled. Hope everyone will also have good news soon...
