Wife pregnant after receiving immigrant visa - AINP

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone know whether immigrant visa can be extended and/or if the process of AINP had to be reset if wife pregnant after receiving immigrant visa. Since immigrant visa is on hand, it's possible to just give birth in canada, but the preference is to give birth in the US not in canada. Thx all.

is ok to give birth in canada and if wife is pregnant. you just have to inform ainp or whichever office you're papers is being processed to after having the baby.

thx for your response dhekky0108 and i know for sure that it's ok to give birth in canada, but as i said in my previous post that the preference is to give birth in the US not in canada. the question is whether the immigrant visa can be extended because we are having additional family member (although this could mean we have to redo the whole AINP process from the beginning).

anyone in this forum has this experience?

did u get ur PR visa stamped on your passport or the immigrant visa u r talking about is the AINP nomination???

we have not have immigrant visa stamped on our passport just yet, we did medical exam and awaiting for the next step.

i assume slim and nset are hus & wife....
and u r planning way ahead abt things after u get u r immigrant visa....

so after u get u r visa u would have like 6 months to go and land in canada
and u can be back in 2 days

then u can stay outside canada for 3 yrs and then move to canada

as the requirement ot maintain PR is to be physically inside canada 2 yrs in 5 yrs time.

my husband co worker has the same problem b4.
now his wife already give birth to there baby here as required by CEM.
and was ask by the CEM for additional documents for there child.
it may caused some delayed but it wont affect your papers.
i know they were giving consideration with a valid reason.
