If I am sponsoring my spouse to come to Canada, why should i Include all his family members ( parents, brothers and sisters) even though they are NOT applying or ever been in Canada:?

It is under the additional family information

Also it asks for their exact birth day and location..is that necessary? and what if i am not sure about their exact date of birth?

Please advice,

thank you

It's just some basic information. Your spouse should know his brothers and sisters' birthday and if he doesn't know the exact address, at least the city and country they are at.

Also, if your family members later want to come to Canada (as visitors or as immigrants), this information will be cross-checked so it's important to be accurate.

You could reach out to your in-law family for their info, or have your husband procure that information :)

We had that problem, my husband has some half-siblings that are estranged from the family so getting info about them was hard. We were initially going to write a short explanation and include it with the application, but in the end he reached out to his half-sister and she was able to share the info we needed. So my advice would be to see who you can contact, get as much info as you can, but if you are unable to track down everything, just include a little explanation with the form that clearly states why you don't have that info. CIC understands that families can be complicated and not everyone will be in contact with all members of their family.
