Hello, I'm in Canada on a working holiday visa at the moment. My SIN card expires the same
day than my work permit does. I already have a new work permit in the young professionals program
lined up, so I was wondering what am I supposed to do with my SIN number?
Is it possible to just re-new or extend it? Or do I get a new SIN with my new work permit and
have to inform my employer about the changes?
Any ideas?

Simple, you go to the Services Canada office with your new work permit and they will extend the validity of your SIN.

Even if that's after my SIN expires? Should I give them a heads up, that I have a new
work permit lined up? Or just go there once I have the new one?

Just go when you have the new work permit.
