my online status shows "in process" since Feb 6, 2015...still no PPR yet... :( :( :(

Hi Wssun,

PPRs after MR could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months depending upon so many factors. PPRs happen after admissibility is established in terms of medicals, security and misrepresentations etc.

Hope you get your PPR as soon as possible.

Hope this helps!

Hi Wssun,

PPR happens only after RPRF is paid, but the trigger for PPR is clearing admissibility checks. RPRF is required before PR visa is stamped, it does not trigger PPR.

Hope this helps!

I am confused by receiving a second medical exam request from CIC today.
I submitted the application in Sep. 2013, and had completed medical exam in May 2014, while my wife did not undergo X-ray due to her pregnancy. After having the baby, my wife completed the medical exam in Nov. 2014. I also sent the photocopy of birth certificate of my newborn baby to CIC by email in Nov. 2014. Since then, I have been optimistically and eagerly expecting the passport request.
Is it normal they ask for a second MR?

GCMS as of Feb 4th 2015, looks as below

Eligibility : In Progress (In notes: Recommend passed)
Security: Not started
Criminality : In Progress
Medical : In Progress

eCAS updated with "Medical results have been received" on March 3rd 2015.
Am i correct in interpreting this as medicals as passed now and they are working on rest?
Thank you.

No. Getting RPRF is not assurance that they have started working in your application. That being said, some people get it at the same time (almost the same time) as MR while some get RPRF months after MR and there is no clear indication that application is already "In Process".

Though unreliable, once you see in eCAS that they are working on your application on a certain date then you can assume that they have started to work in you application.

Any comments on your GCMS?

I also received second medical request on March 3, 15. My previous medical is still valid until April 9. As per my GCMS notes I have passed medical. I am July 2013 applicant.
