Generally, if the results are acceptable, it takes about 7 -20 days.

Some cases of exception to this has been seen on this forum.

If results are not acceptable, then longer ECAS update time is seen, till results are acceptable.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much my friend. +1

My status changed to "ME Received" within 3 days after my doctor updated my results.

Does RPRF Request comes along with PPR Request?

My Ecas only shows :(

1) We have received your application June 18.

2) Medical results have been received.

some of them Ecas showing: 3)we started processing your application ....date
But my Ecas does not show anything like that? That means

They don't even start process my application?? :(

Anyone same boat?

As soon as VO assess and update your Eligibility to Passed you will see the 3 line i.e. we started processing your application <>..

I doubt they will make sure it's up-to-date.

I know someone never see the IP line until he got the PPR.

Well, In majority of cases this happens but yes there are exceptions.

That line shows up when they initiate Security Check.

Hello , I need an advice related to my situation.
After I applied for PR and received AOR I moved to another country waiting for my pr. I left valid address in canada to cic, as I though I will be back within 3 months as a visitor. My Medical test was upfront and there is ECAS change Medical received i end of October. Now I am waiting for my passport request / approval from Ottawa office.
My concern is should I inform them that I am residing currently in a different country? (in that case will they transfer my file to the embassy in this country ?) in this case there might be delays ?
How they process when my application is in ottawa, but I am currently in Europe ?
Thank you in advance !

Hi Cabalen,

I am an april 2014 CEC applicant ; my ecas status changed to inProcess last week and I havn't yet received the RPRF request - does this appear to be normal to you, because I was under an impression that ecas status changes to Inprocess after RPRF is paid, but I may be wrong - do you have any thoughts on this ? Thanks..

PS: i did not pay RPRF upfront

Mine changed to "In Process" after my Eligibility turned to "Passed" and requested for RPRF. Yours is still "Recommended Passed" so technically you should be still under "Application Received".

They are processing cases by sequence but not in a straightforward process. Think of it this way, if all applicants are same (education, work, home country, salary, dependents, history, etc), all VOs are the same (attitude, work style, loads, vacation schedule, etc) and all timeline are the same (holidays in Canada and home country) then you will have roughly the exact sequence you are looking for.

It is each VO's digression if they need additional docs if they can't prove through your docs or checks what they are looking for. Also, you application might still be in a queue.

My friend who is a March applicant like still has no MR but has Eligibility "Recommended Passed". There are still a lot of people waiting and you are not alone. Nothing to worry about for now.

This is perfectly normal. The ECAS changes to that and then the RPRF request comes so don't worry at all :)

To add to Octanu, don't rely too much on eCAS. It's inaccuracies have been proven many times already.

Mine changed, technically, before paying the RPRF. Even for PPR, in my case, was sent first before Decision Made.

MR received on Dec 19 of 2014, and I am still waiting for PPR. :'( :'(
