Congratulations! What is your timeline? Why did it take this long?

Hi Folks

Finally got my Ready for Visa email after long 17 months :'( ;D

Ok now I requested my stamping office to be changed to New Delhi as I am in India at present, can any of you from India please help me out with the following queries:

1. Whats the approximate turnaround time for this request to change the stamping office (to New Delhi)?
2. I am assuming that the COPR will be mailed to my current correspondence address? Does CIC use normal post to send the COPR from Canada to India?
3. Is there an option of sending a prepaid Blue Dart/ any other courier envelope to expedite the same and avail the tracking?

You are a lucky guy. It went so smooth after second review. I am still waiting for medicals yo be updated. Waiting is not fun.

Hello everyone.
I have an urgent question.

I am a August 2013 applicant and I just got Passport Request after a long long wait.

In the email it states:

--------"If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office."------

at the end of the email it states:

-------"The requested information/documents must be received in our office within 30 days from the date of this letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application."

Since we are not in north America we sent an email and asked for another visa office near us.

My question is :
1)How long does it take for Immigration to give us a new visa office so I could go there in person?
2)The 30 days still applies even though we requested a new visa office?

I really appreciate your help.

AOR received: November 2013
Got married: Feb 2014
Received MR for self: April 2014
Received request and paid RPRF: April 2014
Added spouse: September 2014
Spouse received MR which she completed: Dec 2014 as she was pregnant
Added new born kid: Jan 2015
Received MR for kid: Jan 20 2015
Completed MR for kid: Jan 21 2015
Request for updated residential history: Feb 20 2015
Did upfront medicals for self: Feb 27th as last one was almost a year old
Received RFV email: 23 Jan 2015

These are approx dates

My Medical was done on mid nov 2014, till then no further updates and no PPR email. In my last 3 GCMS notes says Criminality is in progress. I have no idea what they are doing since last 1 year..

The background check may cost 6-21 months.

Medical results have been received.

Friends does this means that I passed medicals?
