Is better to ask seniors, but it would be nice if you can send necessary documents before they reach to your 2nd review. May be someone with the same experience, just ask them what they have send.

As i'm waiting for my file going through 2nd review, i'm getting worry cos 1st VO said i don't have enough 1 yr work experience (missing 1 month). Since I took a 3 weeks paid vacation to go back home. I wrote on my travel history that i went away for 21 days but since it only asked for the month and year, not the exact date, it looked like i was away for a month. Any advise seniors? Do they count 3 weeks vacation as experience too?

Hi, in my mind that if it was paid vacation, it would count as work time.

They calculate a years work experience based on the amount of hours worked.

Check your t4 or record of employment for the amount you completed.

1560hours is the benchmark that is considered for one years employment.

Hi dear,

I have a question. If I have the paid vacation, did this count into the work hour? Since I still get work pay for the vacation.

I don't know how that's specifically calculated or taken into account. Logically I can only guess no as your not working your on vacation and that vacation is earned. But I don't know. All I can say is check over the amount of hours physically worked and make sure it's over 1560.

Could you share the timeline with us?

I am not sure but i have seen many fellows who waiting for MR , are told by cic that they are working on the background checks. Same thing they told to me.
Its a question to applicants who know their file is pending for second review, have you asked CIC call centre to know the status? and what did they say?
Does CIC tell the exact status i.e your file is under second review or they just say "working on background check" ??

Please share if anyone knows about it.

I did that , in fact many ppl here did that .
The agent informed that they are doing Background verification and not sure when that will complete. He said i should hear from CIC before Sep 1st.

After receiving gcms notes I called cic.

They told me the deadline dates related to my file going to review and that and the reccommended processing time elapses call the so that they can write to the vo to ask why it's taking so long.

Guys, T4 doesnt show the hours worked tho. It only shows the total wages for the year. And since i started working for this company in May, T4 in 2013 doesnt reflect my total annual salary.

Today is exactly 11 month since i applied and not a word from CIC. So frustrated!
