I have a second application through EE... So I have used the medicals from EE and sent it over to CIC as upfront.....

yeah seems like they are coming back to our applications..... I wish you get some sort of communication......I know the frustration you going through....wish you all the best

Decision Made

1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 22, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 4, 2014.
3. We started processing your application on July 3, 2014.
4. Medical results have been received.

Regarding the title of this thread, I would think everyone still waiting under CEC has gone well over 8 months by now. I've been waiting over 15 months since my submission date and over 12 months since my AOR, and still have not received any MR.

Mailed without my passport, I didn't have to send my passport, I'm Polish, visa is not required to enter Canada in my case.

You are quite right – PR applications made within the past 18 months have been slowed down to the point that very few of them have been completed or made much progressed over the past 6 months - and we do suspect this is due, in part, to moving resources to Express Entry so as to guarantee a “good start” to that programme.

It appears now that these older CEC files are running at (no less than) 20 months of processing.

We will let you know immediately if we see any movement on your file or if we detect any progress with respect to pre-2015 CEC files in general."

Unfortunately we still need to keep up.

Unfortunately we still need to keep up.

So, no less than 20 months. Meanwhile I keep hearing of colleagues who applied under EE this year who got their PR in as little as 60 days.

We are truly marginalized, folks. We're not even third class compared to EE's first class. More like we've been kicked off the plane and told we must travel by bus. Or on foot.

- If it was before January 1, 2015, we will assess it against the eligibility requirements and caps in effect at that time.

Once we assess your application, we will process it if:

- it is complete,
- you meet the eligibility requirements, and
- there is still room in the cap.

If we got your application before January 1, 2015 and sent it back to you because it was incomplete, overcap, or refused it because you were not found eligible, you may wish to assess your qualifications to see if you are eligible to be entered into the Express Entry pool.

I believe all applications that received AOR have already been deemed complete and having met the eligibility requirements, as well as having made it in under the cap. Otherwise AOR would not have been issued and the application would have been returned. This is not something we need to worry about. What we really need to worry about is just how long CIC intends to put off processing our applications.

After 24 months my Ecas is now Decision Made and Call centre agent has confirmed that it is positive
