Who should be filling out the forms and extra sheets

Hello everyone! Just a concern...

I (sponsor) will be helping my spouse (principal applicant) fill out the forms for her part.

Is there anywhere that stipulates that the applicant MUST personally fill out the forms and write the extra sheets of information by themselves? I know this may sound like a strange question but the reason I ask is that the extra sheets we attach will be typed using the same format/text, etc. for the whole application and when we fill in the forms I will be the one doing it. I plan to go through EVERYTHING with my spouse so she knows exactly what is going on since she signs her portion. We live together and are planning to do an outland application.

Sorry to ask but I am a little paranoid about the whole process!

Hi,

I do not think it matters who writes/types the information, so long as it is the applicant that signs their forms. By signing them, the applicant is saying "Yes this is true, and its what I want on this form". I understand where you are coming from, my wife and I are filling out our forms together, and we chose to write on our own forms just so that its our own writing on them and not the other persons, just in case the officer questions it. We are typing some of our explanations out as well, because they are long and we want them to be clearly legible.
