hey everyone,

my partner and i are working on my PR, meaning we'll soon send off our sponsorship application (common-law).
looking through the document checklist it says under 9) to complete the background/declaration for the sponsored person and each family member 18 years of age or over...my question: when they talk about "family members" - who falls under the category?
i dont have any children, stepchildren, etc...

but of course i have family: my dad and my almost 22 year old brother, both living in germany.
do i have to get my dad and brother to fill out that form?

thanks for the help,
cheers!

If you don't have any children/stepchildren over the age of 18, then it's only you who completes the background declaration.

Family members are: spouse, common law partner, dependent children and dependent child of the dependent child. When your spouse/common law partner is also your sponsor, then he/she doesn't need to fill out the background declaration form.
