Please share which month is the right time to visit Canada in 2011? and why? I am planning to stay in Vancouver.

Vancouver is good to visit all year round! Winter (Nov to March), although wet, you can go skiing. Spring (April to May), you can see "salmon leaves home". Summer (June to August) you Canada Day fireworks in English Bay, PNE, night market and nice weather. Fall (September to Oct), you can see "salmon returns home".

Summers are "The Best". Jun-Aug is the time to be in Vancouver

temporary housing rates for the summer months are usually more expensive

I think Vancouver is at its best in Springtime. Right now there is still snow on the mountains, the flowering cherry trees (incredible at this moment!) are beautiful, and there aren't too many tourists around yet. The last two weeks of August are traditionally wet (yes, it rains often in Vancouver, but if you want real summer weather for your trip, then the last two weeks of July and first two weeks of August are the sunniest.) We have just had the coldest April on record and a snow pack about 40% higher than normal means we could be looking at flooding in some areas when it finally warms up. Trees turn colour in late September into October, days can be mellow and lovely, and again the tourists have gone by now. Unless you are a skier, November to end of February are probably the least enchanting months with rain or snow and grey clouds prevailing.
So you want just one month in 2011?? Well, June or September weather and prices may be the most attractive.

Fabulous illustration Pippin.... Feels like I was traveling across diversity and beauty of seasons in Vancouver
