Hey friends...

As we know that we have to open Scotia bank a/c for GIC.

Is it provide such a good & wide range facility like our country like SBI & all??

May i open new Bank A/c in place of uses of Scotia Bank..!!

Any suggestion for Better & Good Bank for us in Canada then it???? or it is best???

Thank Q.

currently, only NOVA SCOTIABANK is providing GIC service for Indian students, you can't purchase GIC at any other canadian bank. :-*

Yes that's possible. One of my friend who is in Vancouver said that he has an account in RBC and is quite happy with their services. He also mentioned the fact that Scotiabank is like the SBI of Canada. They have the most number of branches over there as compared to any other banks.

Finally Which one is better...!!??
Scotiabank OR RBC ??

Thank Q.

I would suggest you to use TD because it does not deduct money on each transaction if you maintain a specific balance, all other banks do. Its service is better

You can open account in any bank. TD is best option so far, They operate 7 days a week and branches available allover Canada.

for Student::

scotiabank:
Free account
unlimited transactions
no need to deposit anything to get credit card
open only 5 days a week

TD bank:
free account
only 25 transaction per month
you need to deposit atleast $500 to get a credit card, and be warned, that $500 will be locked for 3 years. ( you can't get it back within the time period)
open 7 days a week

really? the agent told me to deposit $500 to get credit card. i think what you are talking about is alraedy gone few months ago, now they need deposit from students.

the agent at TD bank told me that this "no deposit" thing is gone now.

new employees don't know about this and they always say NO! or make excuses.. tell them that your friend got it with exactly same profile from another branch and then they will find it out for u..

everything has positive and negative side...

so just priorities your requirements and then look for bank... all bank are good and as for your knowledge ... Canadian banks are the highest secure banks when talk about online transaction security.

search at Google.. u will get all answers ... list of all bank and vistt bank website and get all info.

along with scotia bank A/c,, u can open the account in other bank and when your GIC cash get mature then simply you can close it.

every bank offer different type of A/c services which suit your needs and requirements so first frame ur needs and then select bank...

that's true some bank rip little bit extra.. and some will suit to ur pocket very well...

take little pain, Research the services and get it..
