Hi,

I reside in the USA. I applied for a work permit and received notification from CIC to send the passport for stamping. But CIC doesn't mention where to send the passport - LA or NY. I think work permits in the USA are processed at the NY consulate. But I live closer to LA and next week I will be in LA VAC so I can submit in person. It will be faster. Does anyone have experience with this.

thanks,

I got reply from CIC by email before anybody on this forum bothered to answer.

For future reference -

For stamping, you can submit passport at either place - NY or LA.

u sure its not visa , work permits usually come in separately and u can attach it to your passport

Congrats on the approval of you work permit!

May I ask your timeline for your work permit application? I submitted my application online on May 08 and am still waiting.
Does CIC request you to submit any additional document after your first submission? Thank you in advance.

Submitted e-application on April 10
Request for medical exam May 22
Medical exam done on June 2
Updated on June 5
Request for passport June 10

Along with medical request on May 22, CIC also wanted a copy of my diploma. I mailed it then.
