Where to send application??? Seattle or CPP- Ottawa??

Confused.
I am sponsoring my spouse who is a US citizen currently living in Seattle,Wa. ( I live in Vancouver, BC).... I'm having trouble figuring out where his portion of the application will be sent to. I know all family class applications go to the same place and then is forwarded on from there for Step 2 but I'm not sure where to indicate his portion will be processed. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hey. Mostly likely CPP-O office, Ottawa. There is a link on the CIC website stating which visa office will be receiving your application once it is submitted. Note that this most likely will be different than Vegreville, which receives applications. Check here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

You can choose Ottawa/Buffalo on one of the form - question number 4 if I remember right - "which office will handle your application" . then you prepare everything, and send it all to Mississauga for first stage, and they'll forward to Ottawa (although from the US, your file will be handled in Ottawa as Buffalo is closed).

Oh and your applications will go to the same place. Although they process your eligibility and your spouse's eligibility separately, they will be processed in the same place.

No. The sponsorship and the application go to Mississauga, if approved the application goes to CPP-Ottawa for processing.

Right. I suppose my post looks misleading. I mean to say that everything is sent together, and travels together.

Which apps go to Mississauga? My inland app directed me to send it to Vegreville.

Yes, everything is sent together... Inland applications are sent to Vegreville and Outland application are sent to Mississauga.

Thank you all for your input! I guess I am confused because there IS a Seattle visa office - and he lives in Seattle. He will be staying in Seattle until the application (hopefully) goes through as I am in Vancouver. Everytime I try to look it up on the website - I get confused as there is the Seattle option, but it looks like CPP- Ottawa is the place that does all the family class. I'm not sure. I emailed the CPP- Ottawa office for confirmation - and they responded with a short one liner that said " in your case - I would send it to Seattle as he lives there" but the website directs me to the CPP- Ottawa office.....grrrrrrr.....

The only thing you need to be worried about picking a visa office for would be in case of an interview, that would be why they told you Seattle. All Out-land applications get mailed to CPC-Mississauga no exceptions from there they send them to CPP-O as per CIC website...

sounion, you filed an in-land application therefore the only visa office you will deal with will be Vegreville, unless they send you for an interview but that will also be in Canada since when you file an In-land application you are not supposed to leave Canada. In your profile you have Ottawa listed as your VO you can not follow any timelines for Ottawa as your application is in Vegreville and you should follow those timelines.
