It's been 3 months now since my parent's physician ( approved by CIC ) submitted their medical results and I haven't heard anything from CIC until now.

Any insights anyone can share?

Hi, my parents did med exams in April 2017 and 6 months later we had no news. Last month (1 year after med exams) I emailed Kyiv Embassy and now they advised that they are doing backgroung checks. I do not thing those 3 months apply, unfortunetly. I’ve seen people Undergoing med exams twice because they are valid only for one year.
That's just sad. Let's just continue to PRAY. My parents did their medical exam February 2018. I phoned CIC last month and I was advised that they cleared their background check and still looking into their medical results.

Thanks UKIE123! :)

Which number did you call to inquire about their medical exams? Because when I called Kyiv they said that they provide no info over the phone - only via e-mail.

The Medical questionnaire saga continues.
Submitted application in Jan 2014, Parents did Medicals in Toronto in Aug 2016 as they happened to be here when request came.
Dad who is the primary applicant got asked to see specialist in Nov 2016 due something in Xray. Submitted those reports in Jan 2017 and then in April 2017 they strangely asked Right of landing fee and I thought all done only to be told few days later that his medical condition causes more than standard cost etc. Sent a detailed reply for all of that on 1-Jan-2018 and only now after 6 months I see in GCKeys they say Application Transferred to local office in Niagara falls.

Now what does that even mean ? I live in Toronto, parents in India, why and for what would they send the application to Niagara Falls office. The original Medical exam itself is now 1 yr and 10 months old as they have such long gaps between each question that is asked and a reply sent to when they look and act upon it.

deposited fees.Parents did their medical and background check submitted. too much time is really frustrating

Hello
I am trying to fill form IMM 5406 which is additional family information. Do I need to fill the form in English and print one more form to fill in native language? Also I am sponsoring my parents so 1 form will be for my father and 2nd for has to be filled for my mother and in that form my mother will be the applicant. Am I right? Please solve this confusion. Thank you

My parents were asked to do another medical exam as the old one expired. We did all the tests in Toronto. My mom's results were normal, but my father's chest x-ray came back showing COPD, which is very-very weird considering he has no symptoms whatsoever and he did chest x-ray few months ago in Ukraine and it did not show anything on it. He is exercising regularly and never suffered from any shortness of breath and he is a lifetime no smoker. I am concerned and have no idea what to do next. I am scared that he will be inadmissible to Canada on the ground of his COPD.

Any suggestions anyone? Did anyone happen to be in the same situation? Should I seek expert opinion now or wait for the officer's answer?
