WHEN YOUR PARENT SPONSORSHIP 2014 APPLICATION REACHED CPC-M? UPDATE HERE...

Hi guys,

I guess I'm one of the few people who is stuck at the PR process. I requested GCMS notes prior to December, and it seems like my file in CPC-Ottawa is still on the "shelf" as there is really no officer who's handling it yet. From the notes, it says "Application Assigned to:______" is blank and the "Assigned by:_____" is blank as well. Eligibility: Not Started
We have submitted medicals and Police Clearances.
MyCIC Account shows: Review of Eligibility: In Process and Medicals: Passed

At this point, all I can say is, FIFO is not really followed by CIC. It all depends on your luck whether your file is shelved like mine, or your officer is amazing and works like a trailblazer.

PS we submitted police clearances and medicals in September 2016, Office: CPC-Ottawa

Honestly, since 2014 applications are still within the processing time, all we can do is wait. Good for those whose parents already landed, regardless of year. However, they can definitely improve their system to truly reflect FIFO.

Thanks for the suggestion but I think if I apply for a new one they will require 2013-2015 Notice of assessments and my income alone on 2013 is not qualified.

I would say, don't quickly jump to the conclusion to re-apply. Read through the forums and find the similar case, like withdraw co-signer support. I am not sure before the PR. I was reading somewhere says, when sponsorship undertaking is sgined, we are bound to it unconditionally

And also i think, if your wife is withdrawing her support, you don't need to count her in family size. Also you can talk to smart consultant/lawyer/account if you about income issue

Additional document submitted in July 2016.

How did you submit medical and police clearance if you're eligibility is still in process ?
I'm still waiting on eligibility. I don't need to wait for them to ask for medicals and police clearance ?

I got approved as a sponsor already. This is for the PR leg for my parents. I already paid RPRF, etc submitted police clearances and medicals in Sep. It was requested from me in Aug by CPC Ottawa

You can be proactive and prepare to have your pcc and medicals..BUT wait for them to request it.

I am also a sponsor from 2014, 1st part approved, but the process seems stuck too. The online status is "In process" since May/2016. So frustrating...

Please how can I request the notes?

Hey, Congratulation on your sponsorship approval.
I have sponsored my parents in year 2014 as well. they had requested additional documents sometime in march of 2016 which I already send it to them.
Just last week in noticed a change on my e-cas.
the sponsorship section changed from " application received" to "in process" ---- does this mean anything? i am still awaiting their response..

but if I click on the "in process", it doesnt give any date to when they started processing the application. all is lists is the applicant and dependent names.

please shed some light folks.

I logged in with my parents application#. it only has a "permanent application" coulum - status is application received... that's it.
they do not have an extra column for the sponsorship which I do. Any ways I noticed my sponsorship coulumn changed from application received to in process.
thought other members may know if this is indicating something..

My parents have received today their passport request from Ottawa. (Jan 13 2017)

Here's my timeline:
App recv CPC-M: Jan 2, 2014 @ 8:56am
Ack of Rcpt email: Jun 9, 2014
PCC req: Mar 14, 2016
Rqst for Med Exam + RPRF: Nov 21, 2016
Passport Request Ottawa: Jan 13 2017
