AOR email has come in today (June 9 2014). Anybody else received theirs?
My application was sent on Jan 1st and received 8 am on Jan 2nd.

"This refers to your application to sponsor your parent(s) or grandparent(s) (PGP) under the Family Class.

As per the ninth set of Ministerial Instructions which were issued on June 15, 2013, there is a maximum annual limit on the number PGP applications that will be accepted for processing. Between January 2, 2014 and January 1, 2015, a maximum of 5,000 new complete applications submitted during this period will be considered for processing.

Your application has been accepted as one of the 5,000 applications for the 2014 intake year. Please note that you will be notified at a later date once your application is fully entered into Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC) case processing system."

Just received AOR emails for sponsor applications for my mom and my in-laws a few minutes ago.
Both applications were sent by courier on Jan 2 @ 5:30 am, and received by CPC-M @ 9:15 am on Jan 2, 2014.

Nice, looks like everyone who got in should be receiving today!

So they stalled all the apps till upto Sept 2007 then in Nov 2011 - then bundled all up and asked for Docs in Nov 2011 > this was 1st come 1st serve, you sent paperwork , AOR from CIC-M came in 6 weeks, then file xfer to CPP-O or LVO

But I do remember getting acknowledgement back in 2010 that they ve' got the app, and it will take time, no real confirmation that it will be in process

At this time, CIC is working on files till May 2010 and they have to still process May 2010-Oct2011 - keeping in mind the backlog and per year quota - once these are done, only then will these new apps be looked at

They might get an AOR of making the cut but I believe that'll be all

As expected, they sent AOR about making the cut but the processing will be done when the current log is finished

Now it will interesting to see those will no 2010 incomes, short of change or without orginal signature - folks get the AOR or not

I received email from CIC too, June 9th at 3:42PM that my application is accepted.

My Application was Delivered on Jan 3rd 2014

Thanks :)

count me in...i received the email stating accepted within the 5000 limit and with application file number.

I just got mine as well. Still long way to go.

Good luck to all!

Received AOR today – what a relief!!!
What's the next step - anybody??? Do we have to wait until all backlogs are cleared or do we get a special attention given the fact new PGP is aimed for faster reunification and we had to wait for long 2 years to get into this status where our application has made into 5000 cap? After paying ~35% tax for last 5 years and contributing towards the economy (or in other words paying the bills for others) it is really not nice to be treated like this when we can't bring our loving parents soon.
What a shame!!!
