I also called the CIC this morning. CIC rep was very nice for a change :). Told me they received the application on Jan. 7th as expected and they have created a file for it but havent yet sent an AOR. He gave me the application number and a new UCI. Unfortunately, ECAS is not recognizing either.

Application number starts with XF followed by 9 numbers, is this format accurate or did I make a mistake hearing the CIC rep? What is the usual format for Sponsorship application numbers?

Also the UCI number he gave me is totally wrong as it is a letter followed by 11 digits, so not sure what exactly this number is.

I would suggest that whoever calls into CIC next time, asks for the application number so as to track the status on ECAS.

File # Starts with F000XXXXXX.
CPC-M will communicate this when they approve the application for sponsorship

Thank You. I tried this format with the application number that CIC rep gave me. Unfortunately, it still doesnt work. I will wait a couple weeks and call-in again to re-confirm the number and ask if the ECAS is ready for checking the Jan. 2014 PGP apps.

I sent in scanned pages of forms and clearly highlighted (with a post-it note on each scanned page) that these were scanned pages and I will submit originals later. They accepted my application and my CC was charged on 13th Jan.

Nina, can you post your full timeline so I can update it in the spreadsheet. Thanks.

Send Application on Jan. 14, 2014 through Canada Post
CIC Received on Jan. 15
CC charged on Jan. 28
Just called CIC they confirmed that my Application was complete and made the 5000 cut thats the reason my cc got charged ;D but to get the conformation I have to wait for 3 to 4 months. :-[

This confirmation that you have to wait for in 3-4 months time. Is this only to say that your application was complete and added to 5000 quota only. Or would that be the stage, they comb through the application, verifying LICOS, signatures, and now on to second stage? I would like to know which what come out of it for you in 3 months time.

Be nice to know in 3 months time. Hate to see you just get a confirmation towards 5000 cap only when you already knew that by the credit card charge.

Ya I know.
But the Rep said everything complete and ok.
He also said he is reading the notes on file.

So lets see now. Long 3 months wait now for the conformation . ???

I called CIC and provided my UCI, they said there is a note that says my application is complete but there is no file number and I checked with the bank as I mentioned in my previous post ( money was cashed out on Jan 29th) I guess its a good sign for now not sure if complete means that we are in that 5000 cap

Too early to check eCAS for new PGP program.......

Give it a couple of years and then maybe.

Or wait until CIC sends some sort of letter/email of acknowledgment about application.

Wow 2 years? lol...can't believe such a low standard for PGP program. Worked well for my CEC class application. Guess PGP is given least priority in everything by CIC.

Just got to know from one of friends that his application was returned due to missing signature all his forms had scanned signatures and that seems to be fine i guess he is resubmitting his application with signature and hopefully he might get a chance to be in 5000 cap..

When was this application submitted?
Was his CC got charged?
Did he really miss a signature or was it returned because of scanned signature?

trying to get a clear picture !!! Thanks.

application submitted on 8th Jan, CC is not charged yes he did missed the signature in one form not other scanned signatures were not questioned...just for one missing signature

Remember that the acceptance of scanned signature documents into the 5000 cap, is not necessarily proof that CIC accepts scanned signatures. It just means apps were completed, as the first check is a super quick browse through only of the documents.

If CIC is going to reject scanned signatures like some CIC call centre agents said they would, then that rejection may come during stage 1 approval process later this year, or in 2015, or 2016.
