Hi All,

I'm applying for PR under family/spouse class from New Delhi. Please advice me on the following:

Can I pay online the "Right to Permanent Residence Fee" along with the "Sponsor Fee" and "Applicant Fee" or the High Commission will explicitly ask for the RPRF at some later stage?

Appreciate your kind help!
Thanks

They will at a later date but it will delay your process by a min 8 weeks.
Pay it now.

Check the thread below for more info on CHC ND.

Hi everyone,

I received a letter from CIC asking me to pay for the Right to Permanent Residence Fee because our application is approved. I have the form IMM 5401 already. I know that I have to pay $490.00. My question is where will i send this form? Is it going to be in Mississauga?

Hope to hear a reply. Thank you.

Send it to this address:

RPRF payments or other correspondence:
CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON

I got a letter from CIC on September 20th telling me to pay the $490 (RPRF) by October 18th, I payed this fee on line, no problem, payment went through, printed the reciept, filled it out by hand, as was instructed to do, faxed same reciept to the # i was told to faxed it to but ... still to date i haven't heard anything, can someone tell me what's the next step and when will CIC send this information to the visa office processing my spouse's application? it's the Havana Visa office in cuba, any insights? suggestions on when i'll be hearing some news?? :( thanks)

Wow! I'm soooo happy :) :) yesterday my hubby did his interview and got his visa right on the spot! will be arriving in a few weeks :) :)

Hey Charlie,

My lawyer told me that once I pay the RPRF, with credit card, the payment goes through automatically and I don't have to wait the 8 weeks. She asked me not to pay it until the day we recieve his passport and mail it off to Rome. Is that right? Having his passport sitting at the border I would hate to have it released and sent to Rome only to wait another 8 weeks.

Thank you!

katier, your lawyer is...something else. The 8 weeks referred to by CIC has nothing to do with the payment going through, and everything to do with how busy CPC's office (address above) that deals with RPRF and other correspondence gets, and may take to advise the embassy in Rome that they have received the payment. The embassy WAITS for CPC to confirm the payment, and even if you fax your receipt to them (which you should), they will still wait for the official advice payment advice. Please, if you have been requested to make the payment, you should do so without any further delay. You don't want to get your husband's passport and then wait another 8 weeks after submitting it for them to issue his visa.

I have oficially lost all all hope that my lawyer has a clue what's going on. Thank you Charlie! Im going to make the payment ASAP and continue on pestering border control.

I agree with Charlie. The less steps CPC has to go through, the quicker the processing time. Pay everything upfront. That is what we did!

Hubby paid the RPRF Oct. 13, 2011 before he mailed our Application in CIC-M Oct. 30, 2011

a. It is advised to pay the processing fees and RPRF at the same time. For late payment of RPRF, additional 2-month delay in the finalization of the PR application.

(related link: http://www.cnn1.net/pdf_forms/3900E.pdf

b. Fees: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900E8.asp

c. For late payment of RPRF ($490): Basically CEM will inform CPC-M that you have not paid the RPRF. Then CPC-M will send a notification mail (via postal) to the Sponsored Person requesting you to pay the RPRF but the fees have to be paid by the Sponsor.

i. Included in the notification is the instructions how to pay the fees, either via Internet or Financial Institution (bank). Also included in the mail is the form IMM5401 receipt if you choose to pay via financial institution.

ii. Send to CPC-M the stamped receipt form together with the notification letter. CPC-M will notify CEM that payment has been made.

iii. advise: wag nang antayin ang RPRF request, pwede kayong magbayad ng kusa without the notification letter (like other forumers did); just indicate your client or immigration file no.

iv. here's the site for online payment:

>> https://services3.cic.gc.ca/epay/immquestions.do or

>> https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/kms/introinit.do?dispatch=introinit&appno=5401&lang=en or

v. if you pay the RPRF thru financial institution, you can order form here:

I just paid for my husbands landing fee because it was requested on the additional doccuments we recieved last week...im reading that I am supposed to send some kind of reciept to CPC?? Or just send the printed official reciept to the Embassy with the other requested documents?? (I paid online)

I paid everything upfront..., bypass any extra wait times/delays.
