When to ask for the Certificat de sélection du Québec ?

Hi,

I've just been approved as a sponsor by CIC, our application will be process in Singapore, my wife being Thai.

I received the approval letter by email. I was expecting some instruction about the CSQ (Certificat de sélection du Québec), since we plan to move to Montreal, but there was nothing about that in the letter.

Will the Singapore office send me instructions later or can we start this process by ourselves? I don't want to loose any time, but could not find any clear info about this anywhere.

Hello!

Once you have the sponsorship approval you must send an undertaking application to immigration office quebec in order to receive the CSQ.

Read carefully. Follow the steps here http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/sponsors-sponsored/apply/undertaking-application/index.html

Please note the "undertaking application form" must be the one in French! The english one that you find here http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/en/sponsorship/A-0546-GA-dyn.pdf is just for helping you understand.

You must include the sponsorship approval letter you received.

Once you receive the CSQ, the VO will be informed directly by Quebec. You must keep the originals as they will be needed in order to access different services (health, social insurance) once the sponsored person lands.

Hello.. I am in the same situation... I am in the process since october 2011 for my wife. She is Thai and she was with me here in Québec on TRV since the beginning of the year and she went back to Thailand in october. She will be back here in december on another TRV good for 1 year. Still waiting for permanent visa
