u will need an letter in writing that why are u applying early?
You can apply for your visa up to 01 month before you wish to travel (02 months prior for student applications) - you may wish to bear this in mind when you are making your plans(these wer his words).
One of the parents asked this question and VO were kind of surprised. They told VFS guy (who was present in the seminar) to instruct their call center agents that students can apply 6 months before the start of the session. I think they (VFS) haven't done so.
The VO told us that they have already dispatched visa for Sep session in march (few days before the seminar; it happened in second week of Mar).
If you check this forum, and recent threads, there are at least 10-15 people who have applied in last 3 weeks in New Delhi. Candidates in Pakistan have applied more than 5 months
Having said that, we can just suggest but do no want to pry. It is your decision and you must make a choice.
Btw, I didn't submitted any letter stating why I want to apply earlier and I received my Visa without an interview, in about 2 weeks time (as a general candidate).
I think one of the reason for this fast decision was that since I applied earlier, and there were not many visa applications to process.
