I read in some topic below that you can try to apply canadian passport next day after oath date.

Is it still feasible at this time? Officer usually says that you need to wait for 48 hours after oath date.

For example, if you take an oath on thursday morning, is it possible to apply for passport on friday afternoon, or saturday morning(in locations that open on saturday?)

The next day is too soon. You need to wait 2 full business days for your citizenship to be entered into the system. So if you take the oath Thursday morning - you'll have to wait until Monday. Offices are not open on weekends.

my dad had applied for his almost instantly after his ceremony but it was in Vancouver five years ago.

during my oath, they mentioned the 2 days thing after the oath date

I was told during my oath that we needed to wait 2 days before applying

My friend in Toronto Area applied right after oath and was denied. So its a real thing to wait for 2 days.

Thanks.
