You need to send it along with all other documents .............

All applicants must submit police certificates/clearances as part of the application process.
Note: Do not submit your police certificates to the CIO. If your application is placed into processing, you will be required to submit the police certificates to the Canadian visa office indicated on your application.

this is what the website says!!!!!!!!!!!!

please advice

Once they go through your Application, and if you go through the approval route. CHC will ask you to submit PCC alongwith any other documents they may need.

No Need to spend money on the PCCs. I had to fork out money twice to get the PCCs. As they are valid for 6 Months and you don't get your AOR before 3-4 months.

But be prepared to arrange for them as soon you get the Request.

is it mandatory to send or not???

The website says that they should not be sent, yes - but also some VO specific checklists contradict this, for example London specifically ask for the police certificates in their checklist still.

We sent our application a few days ago to CIO, with London as our visa office, and we included our police certificates. Worst case scenario if you do it that way is that the VO may ask you to get fresh police certificates at a later date. Much better than failing your application for their absense! ;)

You and all of your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens will have to provide:

a valid police certificate, or
police clearance, or
record of no information.
These documents are to be provided for each country other than Canada, in which you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

My uncle is a Police Insector here in Pune, if he issue me certificate, that will do..?? please reply.

Secondly please suggest what Police inspector must write in his certificate or tell me what's this process all about?

Sorry i am new bee, please reply ASAP.

If your Uncle is a TI, then yes it will do.

> Please note, canadian Embassy will usually accept Police Certificate issued from the SP office.

> Police Certificate from the passport office is also accepted.

It is a simple process, on a Computer Page stating the address and contact details of the SP office it is mentioned.

" So and so resident of anywhere with passport number 0000 has no adverse findings against him from the year 1900 till 2010. (the date you started living at that address).

Signed

Suprintendent of Police
Pune City
stamped, dated

What if one have minor criminal records? like collage time mara mari (dhisum... dhisum).. fought with neighbour.. etc.. I heared that even if one have criminal record and if it was solved in legal court..

Do PCC mention that record or gives a clean chit?

Experts plz reply.

I am afraid it will be mentioned in the document, unless it was very old matter or a very low offence that they do not come across it during check.
