Vancouver- The Second Most Coveted and Expensive Place to Live

January 24, 2012: Why Vancouver is one of the best palces to live in?

Are you one of those who think big when it comes to buying the house of your dreams? If you are contemplating on purchasing a home that you can call your own and cannot pick out on the right destination, Vancouver could well be your choice of place to settle down. With the geographical location, the lush green landscapes as well as the climate of the place making it one of the coveted cities to dwell, Vancouver is sure to elate you to the core with its mélange of amenities. The city embraces a fine amalgamation of the urban and the natural, with the bustling city life brimming with all sorts of happening places and activities to keep you high-spirited all the time, while the countryside greenery and trees breathe in a new life of freshness every moment. Here are two facts which might help you in purchasing your dream home in Vancouver.

Climate of Vancouver
One of the major factors which draw thousands to come and settle on the soil of Vancouver is its awesome moderate climate, an aspect that distinguishes it from the rest of Canada which is mostly enshrouded in snow for the major part of the year. In fact, Vancouver has been acclaimed to be one of the warmest cities in Canada during the cold wintry months which witness thick layers of snow. The reason behind this astonishing yet much favored uniqueness is that the chilling Arctic wind which sends shivers of cold to all places in Canada, however, cannot touch the Vancouver land, thus relieving its residents of the intolerable cold. Added to this is the location of the city on the sea shores, splashed as it is by the Pacific Ocean. The summer months too are something to enjoy to the lees with Vancouver sun showering all its warmth and shine on the city magnanimously, not to speak of the Fall and Spring times when you luxuriate amidst the mind blowing weather.

Second Most Expensive City after Hong Kong
While buying your cherished house, the price is obviously a factor which plays a very important aspect. And in the case of Vancouver, it has catapulted the charts of the most expensive cities in the world to seize the second position by ousting Sydney, which hitherto had been enjoying this lauded place after Honk Kong. The median home price of Vancouver, according to a survey, depicted to be as high as 10.6 when compared to its median pretax household income. Sydney, in the same measurements came up to 9.2, while Hong Kong captured the highest position as the most costly city in the world to live with 12.6.

Therefore, if you are gearing up for a property in Vancouver, you need to be prepared financially to ensure that you get hold of the most precious property and become the cynosure of all eyes. So, just get going for a lovely house of your dreams amidst the vibrant Vancouver soil.

Student guide for work permit applications in Canada.

January 26, 2012: Presently after several changes in the year 2008 a student studying in Canada can apply for work permit for a longer period of time.

A work Visa is a pass required for able to get a job under a vacancy announcement by the Canadian employers and also from the CIC website. If you are a student studying and want to overcome your expenditures by working there in Canada then applying for work permit is very easy for you. This article is based on details on how to apply for work permit in Canada while studying, its application and also its process.

A work permit is a printed approval to work in Canada issued by an officer to a person who is not a Canadian citizen or stable occupant of Canada. This endorsement is obligatory regardless of whether the employer is placed in Canada or not. It is usually valid for a particular job and for a limited period of time. A work permit may be issued based on an opinion on the labor market (confirmation of the Job Service Canada) or other requirements.

To be able to apply for work permit the student or applicant should consider choosing any of the following three categories.

I: Off Campus work permit program:

You should have a valid study permit under this program. You are required to have taken full time of mandatory study period for a specific class. Also you may have applied for a work permit of a participating institution. You are not eligible if you fail to meet all these categories.

II: Co-op work program:

This is like internship program. Work experience is a mandatory component of some programs of study, such as co-op programs and internships.

In these cases, an open work permit can be issued with reference to the institution as employer. In cases where multiple shifts are required throughout the program, the work permit can be issued for the same period as the study permit.

III: Post-graduation work employment program:

The Program for post-graduate work is designed to provide graduate students with Canadian work experience. Students can work in Canada for up to three years after graduation.

First of all it is necessary which kind of documents are required to continue under the above said program. According to CIC website following documents are necessary to be fillable for applying this program.

1: Document Checklist.

This is a checklist document. In this form you are required to fill all the necessary attachments and then tick them on the form. The form asks you to attach your application for a work permit as detailed on this form. In this form there are spaces for all the above categories. So you are requested to only fill your specific category like for “Off Campus work permit” program fill only the requirement spaces under this heading and leave the else. You may also put a cross in the check box if any detail or document in not required.

Similarly the form asks you to attach necessary photo copies required by the CIC department and that is also mentioned on the leaflet. Further is you have completed optional use of a representative form you may also attach it with your application. After filling this form do check that you have filled it with full confidence and with best of your knowledge. Because if you have mistakenly ticked any other check box and have forgotten to attach it with your application, then your application in susceptible to be rejected owing to a significant deficiency.

2: Application to Change Conditions, Extend My Stay, or Remain in Canada.

This for is generally used to apply for more than one services which are as follows.

A: If you want to extend you temporary stay in Canada.

B: You are asking for your initial study permit or you may wish to extend your study period.

C: You seek an initial work permit or extension in current temporary work Visa.

D: You want to restore you status as a temporary resident, student such as visitor or student or worker.

E: Another temporary resident permit with two passport size Photos.

You will fist tick any of the above five categories but you may not apply as for more than one in a single form as it is only for one person obviously. Fill in your name and other credentials with confidence. Then in the end put your original signature as a confirmation of your consent with details you provided.

3: Statutory Declaration of Common-Law - Allowance for the survivor.

This form lies under the group of Canada Pension Plan. You are only required to fill this form unless you are declaring a start of common law or ending it. Complete this form to make an official statement as to the dates when your common-law began or ended the two (if applicable). You would be declaring whether you are in relation with any person of not. Thus this is for only sponsorship and if you are sponsoring any one from outside. This form is under the act of immigration and refugee protection act of Canada. It is good for any refugee who seek asylum in Canada and further work permit to make living.

4: Use of a Representative:

As you know there is no need to hire any representative in case of immigration to Canada. But if you think any of such could help you then this form is to provide all the credentials regarding any representative you use.

Generally a representative is one who has provided you initial information for applying any kind of immigration to Canada. Also in some cases a representative may conduct your business on your behalf. This is strictly under the direction of CIC and CBSA. Additionally, only one representative is allowed per applicant.

In this form there is option for both, if you are appointing a representative or cancelling the appointment of the representative. Further complete the form filling in your info and respective section for any category you have chosen and leave the irrelevant as it is.

5: Received from fees payment methods:

Next comes how you will pay for the fees for these forms. There are two methods as follows.

A: Payment of fees through the Internet:

If you have a reader PDF, a printer and a card Visa, MasterCard or American Express, you can provide Payment of fees at a financial institution in Canada

B: Payment of fees at a financial institution in Canada:

If you cannot or do not want to use the Internet, you must obtain an original receipt (IMM 5401) in order to pay your fees to a financial institution. You cannot get this form online, because only an original receipt which is given a serial number can be used. You can order an original receipt by mail online.

This application must be submitted by students who are already in Canada and who wish to apply for a work permit in one or more of the above said categories (In Roman).

You essentially put on for work permits within 90 days later the issue date of your concluding record or written authorization of graduation, either comes first issued, designating that you have met the necessities of your program. Your study certification must be valid at the time of proposal of your request for work license.

If you are a full-time student attending a university or college, you do not need a work permit if the employment offered is on the campus of the college or university where you are registered on time full, as long as the study permit is valid.

Processing Centre in Vegreville handles most applications it receives, but a few are sent to a local office for clarification. If your request is sent to a local office, an officer of this office will contact you to obtain additional information or clarification. The local office may take up to three months to contact you.

Citizens of the United States do not need a passport or travel document to enter or return to Canada. Permanent residents of the United States do not require passports or travel documents if they are entering or returning to Canada from the United States or Saint Pierre and Miquelon. However, they must provide documentary proof of citizenship or permanent residency, such as a national identity card or a certificate of registration of aliens (green card).

A social insurance card is required to work in Canada. You must obtain a Social Insurance Number from Service Canada. To work on campus, you must submit a valid study permit and a job offer, to work off campus; you must present your driver's off-campus work because Service Canada will require proof that you have the right to work in Canada. It is recommended to apply for the card in person and to provide three weeks of treatment.

Certain medical examination is required under each field you are attempting to apply for a job in Canada and is a mandatory measure.

All the forms are self-explanatory, instructions are provided when necessary. You can attach a separate sheet if the space provided on the forms are insufficient, taking care to place the letter or number of the question you are answering. Your application may be returned or refused if it is not properly completed or if all required documents were not provided. Fill the screen or print clearly in block letters with black or blue ink.

After sending your request, no further action is required unless otherwise noted. The failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the work permit or study or the requirements of the Act, the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and its regulations can result in the taking of a enforcement action by the Border Services Agency of Canada and have a negative effect on applications that you may have later under the Immigration Act and the protection of refugees. Also if you move before your application has been processed, you must give us your new address by contacting the Call Centre.

Healthcare becomes unaffordable for majority of Canadians

Canada, 26th January: High costs of healthcare in Canada is making it things difficult for not just Canadians but immigrants too.

Nearly one out of every ten Canadians are finding it difficult to afford prescribed medicines, findings of a recent study reveal. And the reason is majority of them are not having health insurance for enabling them pay medical costs in Canada.

Canada healthcare unaffordable--The study published in CMAJ (Canadian Medical Association Journal) reveals that out of every four Canadians, nearly one is finding it tough to afford medications due to lack of private or work drug insurance.

The study has been undertaken by University of British Columbia and University of Toronto researchers. It is based on 5,700 respondents.

Findings show that nearly 9.6 percent of survey participants failed to have prescribed medications either due to heavy costs or just to save their money.

Lack of healthcare insurance major reason for skipping prescribed drugs—Not having health insurance in Canada was cited to be a primary reason by a major percentage of Canadians during the study. High costs of medications along with no health insurance increased the number of Canadians avoiding prescribed drugs by around 4.5 times. The study further found that the number of Canadians with health insurance expressing inability to afford high costs of medicines was just 6.8 percent compared to 26 percent of Canadians without health insurance finding it difficult to afford buying prescription drugs.

Another reason cited by survey respondents for avoiding taking medicines prescribed by their physicians is said to be lower income. Their number was nearly 3.3 times higher in not buying prescribed drugs than those earning high income.

Benefits of Canada health insurance--Having health insurance in Canada has numerous advantages for Canadians as well as Canada permanent residents. It saves one from paying directly for a large chunk of health care services in Canada.

Such health care costs get paid through the taxes. One simply needs to have a health card for using Canada healthcare services and this card can be used at medical clinic or the hospital.

Apply for Canada public health insurance at the earliest—Hence, it is advisable for immigrants to apply for Canada health insurance card at the earliest after arriving in Canada. Application form for a Canada health card can be obtained from any immigrant-serving organization, a pharmacy or a hospital.

Moreover, forms can also be obtained online from a concerned ministry responsible for health care of the territory or your province in Canada.

Canada: Request for convalescence route.

January 28, 2012: While there are numerous lees where CIC could bargain somebody "BARRED TO CANADA", nevertheless, in countless circumstances there are likewise pledge dregs where certain "EXCLUDED" individuals could succeed PR request proposal.

Individuals who have been acquitted of delinquency in Canada, but not overseas can make interaction with the National Parole Board for a pardon, and they do not have to complete this application.

They can smear for individual reintegration if at least five years have passed since they ended aiding felonious verdicts compulsory. Those whose reintegration cannot be allowable since the agreed period has intervened can ample the form and check "For figures only." A migration officer will choose if singular acquiescence may be decided for a provisional fee.

This request form can be utilized in Canada or overseas. Ask a Centre Citizenship and Immigration Canada or an embassy, high commission or a Canadian legation overseas.

Some persons with unlawful record are banned to enter Canada. They cannot enter even on temporary basis. Therefore occasionally an absolution request in the country is even skimpy. To process such cases the Canadian authorities have designed an application to wavier such persons owing to their previous records. Rehabilitation if arranged then a person who is banned can be “rehabilitated”.

This request must be made by people who are inadmissible to Canada because of past immoral bustle and who wish to lift the injunction on land to obtain a temporary or permanent basis in Canada.

Application forms below are available in format PDF.

This kit includes the following:

Checklist of Documents:

To check the appropriate credentials the offender is trying to attach.

Application for Approval of Rehabilitation:

This is the main core file on which the conditions and all details about the offender are penned down.

Fees for immigration services - Approval of Rehabilitation:

A necessary measure required for the rehabilitation application process.

Use of a Representative:

In any case representatives are not bound to be hired but if offender wants to seek guidance then he or she as to put the representative details on this form.

As per rules of Canadian immigration and refugee act such persons who have erroneous records are deemed to enter this country. There are certain a condition upon which the permit is barred; if the person was accused of doing illegal action in Canada; or has done any illegal work outside of Canada which is considered as a corruption in Canada or had committed an unlawful act in that country penalize able there and in Canada also.

Considering the rules it is mandatory to keep in mind certain circumstances. Like if the offence is committed in Canada and the outcome of charges were dismissal, then such person can enter Canada unless the same was not in any other country. Likewise if the outcome was an absolute or conditional discharge then even you are admissible but may be not for the same offence outside of Canada. Last if you were granted pardon under any obligation, you will get admission however for overseas offense you may still be prohibited.

It is to be remembered that The Parole Board of Canada (PBC), as portion of the illegitimate integrity coordination, brands self-governing choices on the bail and forgiveness and brand references for leniency. The Command donates to the defense of the general public by enabling the appropriate convalescence of reprobates as law-abiding residents.

Likewise victims of crime can register with the PBC to receive some information about the offender who has caused injury when it is under his jurisdiction. Victims can also observe the hearings of the PBC, present a statement at the hearing and request the Commission's decisions from the decision registry.

A person who is banned in Canada has to provide complete details of his offense. Teenage or under the age of twelve are also sometimes not able to enter Canada unless they had convicted offences in contradiction to Young Offenders Act or the Youth Criminal Justice Act, except they have received a mature verdict. Also if the offence was committed outside of Canada where such juvenile offense is given leniency or even if there is now law for young offenders but can be penalized by the nature of offense in Canada.

In case an offender who had committed an illegal act outside Canada and wants to enter Canada, that person can apply for rehabilitation unless the time period of the charge against offense has passed. Besides if the offender has committed offences in Canada, then that person can apply for pardon at The Parole Board of Canada. This will be granted unless the time period of decree is over with extra waiting time. That is for five years after the completion of sentence.

The pardon copy should be sent to Visa department. While if offender is coming from outside then that person should come along with the pardon copy. Notable person having sever cases penalize able to be imprisonment for over ten years in any cases are not applicable unless they apply for pardon after passing approximate five years of the sentence period.

Likewise persons having more than one offense case in Canada in their records have to either pass five years of sentence or must apply for pardon. But in case of foreign offenders they could be considered for rehabilitation although their request stands inapplicable. Nevertheless if an offender still insists to enter Canada the Canadian authorities can grant that person special permission aided by a petitionary officer.

The petitionary can either tell offender to come on not on the basis of the offense that person has committed or wither subject him to apply for special permission i.e. temporary residence. Notably same person can even arrest, detent or deport that person back to his or her native country for enforcement of sentence from which they artery to escape.

After the application is made the department of Parole will try to make specific decisions which are based on certain things; how serious was the crime? How was the offender’s behavior after the crime? Shall he or she be doing such offense again? Any support for that person from his native country? Why the reason has that offender is making a pardon application? And what are his or hers contemporary situations.

Forgiveness can only be kept apart from the illegal records of people who have been convicted of a wrong offense, but have finished serving their sentence and demonstrated they are now law-abiding citizens.

The Royal Prerogative of Mercy (PRC) is an absolute discretion arising from the former British monarch's absolute right to grant clemency. In Canada, it is exercised by the Governor General or the Governor in Council (i.e. the federal Cabinet). This is the power to grant clemency in extraordinary circumstances to the author of an offense under a federal law that the case warrants.

Subsequently according to the CCRA, a victim who requests to have information about the offender must be informed of the name of it, the offense he was convicted and the court which sentenced him, the start date the sentence and the expiration date, and the dates the offender becomes eligible for release on parole.

A victim may receive additional information if, in the opinion of the President of the PBC (or delegate), the interest of the victim clearly outweighs any invasion of privacy of the offender. This information is the offender's age, location of the penitentiary where he is held, the dates of various forms of conditional release, the date of any hearing of the PBC, the conditions attached to the releases granted the offender (if applicable), the destination of the latter in his release that he is or is not in custody, and information on any appeal by the offender in respect of decisions of the PBC.

Language proficiency required for Canada immigration

January 28, 2012: Canada, 28th January: Immigrants wanting to come to Canada must possess minimum standards of English language proficiency.

This requirement would help weed out fraud incidents in the nation, Canada immigration minister Jason Kenney has asserted.

Minimum English language standards for reducing fraud in Canada—While highlighting the increased number of cases of fraud by aspirants wanting to come to Canada, Kenney said eastern provinces of Canada are having higher number of such incidents.

Many foreigners possessing lower standards of English language proficiency have moved to Canada through Canada immigrant investor programs. As a result, Canada immigration department-CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) had to be axed, he added.

He maintained that several immigration consultants were luring potential immigrants having huge money but without possessing English language proficiency to come to Canada through unlawful ways.

Reforms needed in Canada PNP--Canada’s PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) was in dire need of several reforms, the immigration minister stated. It had been successful in filling vacant job positions in different Canadian provinces by allowing foreigners possessing skills in demand in Canada.

But, changes were needed in PNP to make it more efficient while controlling misuse of the program.

This included compulsory requirement of having proficiency in either of the two official languages of Canada by immigrants. That’s because provinces giving lesser significance to language proficiency requirements for immigrants saw an increased number of fraud incidents in Canada.

In the recent times, Canada government had closed down immigrant investor schemes in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward following widespread allegations of lawsuits and fraud. A recent study had shown Canada PNP has increased around six times since the year 2004.

Alberta admitted nearly 7,500 immigrants through PNP in 2010.

Eliminate unscrupulous immigration consultants—Higher and strict English language proficiency requirements for immigrants wanting to come to Canada through PNP could prove helpful in better settlement for nominees. It would help not just nominees but also territories and provinces

Canada immigration department has plans to allow around 45,000 immigrants through PNP and has already provided nomination allotments to various Canadian territories and Canadian provinces.

And Canada government needs to chalk out ways in collaboration with Canadian provinces for elimination of unscrupulous immigration consultants and immigration agencies using bogus documents and promising fake offers of jobs in Canada.

Canada: How to apply for Federal Internship program.

The Federal Internship for Newcomers (PFSNA) provides newcomers with a Canadian work experience and temporary help and training opportunities in federal government departments.

Job hunt in Canada is quite dissimilar to what most of us do in our home countries. A new applicant could probably have gone in to several problems when coming to Canada.

Education and work experience an applicant has gained in another country may not meet the criterions for the occupations and skills in Canada. An applicant should know how his or hers permits associates to those of a person trained in Canada for a similar job and know the steps they must take to be allowed to work in Canada.

Canada has two official languages: English and French. Even if you have the language skills in English or French to immigrate to Canada, they may not be sufficient to work in the profession you have chosen.

Language skills in English or French are essential to your integration into the labor market in Canada. The lack of these skills is one of the biggest obstacles to full integration.

Canadian employers, who often do not know how to evaluate education and professional experience gained in other countries, may require or prefer that you have work experience in Canada. The acquisition of this experience is one of the biggest challenges facing newcomers.

Meet people, get advice, network and volunteering are good ways to meet this challenge, but getting your first job in Canada could still take time. Usually Interns are hired as' casual employees for a period of 90 working days. The internship may be extended by 90 days.

Internships are offered in various fields, including politics, administration, project management, information technology, communications and science. A mentor will be assigned to intern for the internship.

Spontaneous workers are staffs hired for a specified period not exceeding 90 working days per calendar year in a division or organization for which the Public Service Commission (PSC) has exclusive authority to make appointments. The period of impermanent service can be one or more periods, but must not exceed 90 working days in a department or agency per calendar year.

To qualify, you must be a permanent resident or Canadian citizen. You may be in Canada for less than 10 years. In certain cases the applicant should possess the necessary language skills in English or French (level of 6 to 8 of the Canadian Language Benchmark or Canadian Language Benchmarks minimum).

Also the applicant should have a postsecondary diploma (with the exception of administrative positions where this type of degree is an asset) and live or works in Ottawa / Gatineau (or within 125 km), Toronto (or within 125 km) in the Vancouver or Victoria (or within 75 km) - noted other areas could be added in the future.

The applicant could also be registered and pass mandatory screening for pre-employment within one of the organizations that assist immigrants detained by the program.

In case of eligibility to IFH, applicant must contact one of Canada’s organizations serving immigrants partners to be a verification of the employment preparation. Verification is a must, and they will contact the agency serving immigrants to ensure that you have had the audit.

The audit procedure is based on a face to face meeting and evaluation, your English language speaking skills, your referrals were fine and how to write your resume and behave in an interview. Notably applicant is subjected to smear application only in the field of his or her interest and not in more than one. In that application the applicant must write paragraph on the need of internship.

A statement in a form of paragraph showing your belief that you are capable to meet the necessary requirement for the criteria for both educational and experience vise consideration. And in the end the name and contact details of the immigrant-who made your audit.

You can check the status of your application at any time via the website emplois.gc.ca by logging.

Applicant’s request will be sent to CIC and / or other federal departments, agencies and Crown corporations that recruit and where there are potential employment opportunities.

There is no guarantee of placement in a particular department. Qualified candidates will be matched with specific jobs in the ministries according to departmental needs and skills of the candidate.

The number of applications received is much greater than the number of internships available. Even if an applicant is in a pool, it may be that he or she does not see internship offerings.

Canada: House rents needs to standardize for newcomers.

January 30, 2012: In Canada generally a new comer from Asia has to pay a lot of house rent upfront despite that there are renters’ rights available.

A Muslim name Rafiqul Islam went to Canada by immigration Visa. Being a new comer he has to find a job and a roof to stay in peace. The main thing he first faced was a huge sum of rent asked by the best house renters in Mississauga. This is a normal rate according to resources for Bachelor houses.

The reason of this high payment was not just the competition to find a better place, but something that concerns with Rafiq himself. That is he is a new comer to Canada and has no work experience inside Canada and has zero Canadian credit history. In contrast to the available tenants’ rights under Ontario law newcomers are being looted with much higher amount because they do not know their right.

If Rafiq had knew his rights he would have never paid that much higher amount which is equal to total rent if paid in a year. On the contrary prayers of new comers have been heard as Housing advocates say specified demands are outlawed and the victimization of immigrants has got all too common, due to ambiguities in the Ontario Residential Tenancies Act, along with vulnerable provincial enforcement.

"Sad to say, there is a subclass of land mafia who brute on novices' deficiency of education of the law and deficiency of understanding of the dealing status," said Geordie Bend, of the Federation of Metro Tenants Tie. "The largest difficulty is, by the moment we concentrate about it, the payer has already prepaid and stirred in. They don't want to alter waves and try losing their housing."

According to statistics there are over a million renters in the city, and nearly fifty percent of them are immigrants. The federation often gets calls from immigrants on some the so-called "charter deposits" requested by landlords, exacting a defrayal of six to 12 months' rip.

Dent also referred to a peculiar case where a family had to pay three years of charge amounting to $36,000 upfront, simply to fix an accommodation.

Rafiq, a financial administrator from Bangladesh, and his woman Nucun, an instructor, spent six months bunking at his brother and sister's confined flats after inward in Canada in 2010. They had been upturned downward by four landlords after they refused to pay an ample assemblage of rent. In the end, they surrendered.

On the side of landlord for why that ask that much money is the reason of insecurity they feel when they try to accommodate newcomers. Rafiqul Islam has claimed the same when he with his wife was looking for rental apartments. The insecurity is as a result of unavailability of jobs for newcomers and unless they have any the landlords feel unsecure lodging them because they cannot pay monthly which will only disturb their business. So as a reason they ask for rent of whole year.

"The owners said we had no jobs and no impute, and we must pay up. It is right but partial, but what can we do?" said Islam, 41, whose landlord recently renewed a one-year rental and finally agreed to have his issue compensable monthly.

Same stories are with plenty of immigrants who being newcomers are looted just because they have no opportunity present got making living. Jennifer Ramsay, of the Ontario Earthborn Rights Agree Midpoint, said being asked for artifact deposits or added fees, and told that children are not allowed and they wouldn't "fit in," are among the most uncouth complaints by immigrants.

"We are not talking active mom-and-pop dealing. There are spacious organized landlords engaging in this practice of misbranded deposits," she said. "Making additional requirements of newcomers is unfavorable and exclusionary." Still, Mike Chopowick, contract handler of the Federation of Transaction Housing Providers of Lake, said he has not seen any inform that indicates such opening alleviation requests are a widespread practice.

"Tenants in Ontario obtain far author shelter under the law than anywhere else in Northbound Land," said Chopowick, whose 800 members control 300,000 dealings units across the sphere. "Both landlords and tenants have the obligation to cultivate themselves on their rights."

If owners could easily eject non-paying "hell" tenants and ask for loss sedimentation as a protection, he said, there would be more pick to work an assay on those with no ascribe story and line references. Chopowick, of the landlord group added that currently it takes 90 days to concord a lease conflict in Ontario, trifold than in else provinces - the ending of statutory delays and backlogs at the Landlord and Tenant Board. Nevertheless, it is delicate for tenants to go after bad landlords, said the Underground Tenants Association's Deform.

New Canada immigration rules open doors to skilled tradespeople

Canada, 31st January: Changes have been announced to Canada immigration rules and will give preference to immigrants possessing trade skills.

Changes in Canada immigration rules aimed to address skills shortage—Canada is facing a scarcity of workforce and recent changes announced to Canada immigration rules are aptly aimed to help fill shortages of skilled workers in Canada.

This was revealed by Canada citizenship and immigration minister Jason Kenney. New Canada immigration rules will make it easier for the nation to attract immigrants possessing skills in high demand in the nation, Kenney asserted. And new rules will no longer give increased preference to immigrants possessing university degrees.

Federal government has plans to introduce changes to Canada's points based system for the purposes of recognition of skilled trades of foreigners.

As per current rules of Canada immigration, immigrants possessing skill trades don't find an opportunity of immigration to Canada, Kenney informed. Hence, new Canada immigration rules will make sure to allow immigrants who possess skill trades to move and work in Canada, he clarified.

Canada is thus opening doors to increased number of foreigners who are trade-oriented. And this will enable the nation to allure hidden jewels from various corners of the world to fill shortage of workforce in different regions, Kenney affirmed.

Training and apprenticeship programs for Canadians—Canada, meanwhile, will ensure to keep the interests of Canadians in mind keeping in view the fact that there are around 1.4 million of them seeking employment. This was revealed by Olivia Chow, NDP MP.

If skilled workers in demand in Canada are not found within the nation, only then will the nation seek to hire overseas skilled tradespeople, added Chow. She also urged on offering rewards in the form of income tax breaks for firms providing training to jobless Canadians.

She maintained that Canada must give priority to Canadians first for filling vacant positions of jobs here and only resort to hiring immigrants if Canadians with requisite skills are not found from within the nation.

Meanwhile, Canada is also intending of easier deportation of foreigners rendered inadmissible by officials of Canada immigration department-CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada). So, legislation is likely to be up for streamlining of endless appeals by foreigners in the nation, he maintained.

Canada job market not strong enough-TD

Canada, 7th January: Canada’s job market is not as strong as it appears, states the latest report from Toronto-Dominion Bank economists.

Canadian economy has, no doubt, recovered majority of the jobs lost during recession, but the job growth in the nation is still a far cry considering the underlying employment market weaknesses.

According to Sonya Gulati and Derek Burleton, economists with TD Bank, the conditions of employment market in Canada are not robust enough even though Canada has been successful in creating around 440,000 jobs since July 2009, and it has created around 350,000 jobs through November last year exceeding even the expected forecasts.

The economists maintain that the past year had been a good year in terms of job growth in Canada, but, not the best year. And this is especially true for the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia where the employment growth is a still to reach the pre-recession levels.

Moreover, the employment participation rate for the workers has not reached the peak levels before the onset of recession.

The rate of unemployment in Canada is still staying around 7.6 percent, the figures revealed by the Statistics Canada for the month of December state.

Presently, Canada has created more part-time jobs as compared to the full-time jobs. So, the result is that Canada is having higher number of part-time workers and self-employed workers than in October 2008, the report maintains.

Another fact that points out towards the weaker job market in Canada is that Canadians have been looking to get employed at low-paying jobs resulting in keeping the wages down. Also, majority of new jobs created in Canada have been in public sector apart from self-employment and the private sector is still lagging behind around 106,000 jobs created before the recession.

Meanwhile, the best performance in terms of employment creation in Canada has been witnessed in the provinces of Prince Edward Island, Quebec, B.C.(British Columbia), Manitoba and Newfoundland in the year 2010.

The other Canadian provinces had not witnessed any significant changes in the Canada job market, the report reiterates.

TD economists maintain that the weakness in the employment market in Ontario can be attributed to problems in the manufacturing sector.
