I got my medical done on 16th Jul and submitted the e-APR on 14th August.
I haven't yet received my AoR from CIC and got a letter today (hard letter not email) saying that I need to undergo an in-depth medical checkup before any decision is made. I am given 90 days to comply on this medical notice.

Can anyone pls explain, what's going on here?
I am in perfect health and no injury/diseases or any medical history whatsoever.
Is this normal procedure or am I in trouble?

Who sent you the letter - CIC or your panel physician?

In any case, it's best to do what they're asking for because there's no other option if you want your PR application to proceed.

If you have no medical issues, you've nothing to worry about. Good luck.

The letter was sent by CIC to my home address.
I gave reference to the hospital of the letter and my medical number and they confirmed that CIC wants me to specifically get the chest x-ray done again (something like lobe or something sort of x-ray) with proper diagnosis from Physician.
Perhaps they have found something in the first x-ray pertaining to TB.
But I don't have TB, neither anyone in my family. Nor I have any symptoms of TB till date.
How can this be possible !

If there's any sort of blemish on the x-ray results, they'll likely ask you to re-do it. You have two choices: get the x-ray done again & continue with the PR process, or don't get it & CIC will cancel your application as incomplete.

If you don't have TB or any medical issues, you have nothing to worry about.

Most physicians are careless and don't give proper instructions about how close you should stand to the x ray machine.

A few years ago one such idiot made me take the x ray 4 times because it wasn't clear! The fifth time the x ray was clear because my spouse came along and instructed me to press myself completely flat against the machine!

Don't worry, you'll be fine. Good luck.

Thanks Wandering Mind. I guess this might be the reason of this notice.
Will get it done soon then.
BTW, I submitted my application on 14th Aug and still haven't received the AoR, neither in my account nor in email.
Is it something to be worried about?
The info on the EE profile says application received on 14th Aug with UCI number field empty.
What should be my course of action from here if I want to get AoR?

Most TB which isn't active never shows up as a lesion on a radiograph. Having said that, MOST ppl in subcontinent have been exposed to TB bacteria which isn't unusual. So don't worry, if you don't have symptoms, that means you DO NOT have TB. Go ahead and redo the xray, and let the panel physician know. They usually do an AP view, if recommended by the CIC, can even do a lateral view.

Looks like there is nothing to worry about in your case
