Write your net personal income for the 12 months preceding the date of your application. Also write the dates of that 12-month period.

Is this the specific question you are answering? If it is, on the guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp#3900E4
it states to give your net personal income. So it's an estimation of how much you've made for the last 12 months. As others have mentioned, unless you're applying from Quebec you will need to attach the Option C anyways and that's what they're ultimately looking for to see if you've been on welfare. Since you are sponsoring a spouse you don't have to have a certain income to sponsor (unlike some other Family classes).

Really read the guides thoroughly as they are mostly self explanatory.

I think you are referring to IMM 5481 (Sponsor Evaluation), question 3; while the OP is asking about IMM 5540 (Sponsor Questionnaire), question 7.

Just checked my forms - we are paid bi-weekly, so what I did was add my net income for the two paychecks in a month and put the amount down. @Mrs Purcy, perhaps you could consider doing same but in your case, you would be adding up monthly net income from the two jobs.

Sorry, you are having a hard time. The reason is, you have not had a minimum of 10 posts yet. Try posting 8 more comments, even on different topics and you'll soon be able to post topics. ;)

also, please post responses that don't suggest the immigration process is "easy". I just noticed you posted in the general thread that getting a PR as a federal skilled worker is "easy". SO NOT TRUE! if you don't know an answer, don't post just so you can start a new topic.

I understand people are here to help. And I thank the users and am so appreciative. But, If you went back and actually read my explanation than you wouldn't need to post that. And you telling me you won't answer my question doesn't do anything. I'm fairly certain that there are (as evidence shows) other users here that aren't petty like you. I don't think I'll be missing much if you decide not to respond to my questions considering how you actually did not help or answer my question, just letting you know.
I agree with the previous posters who suggested you should consider hiring a lawyer to handle your app instead of using the forum. When you post a question, members are going to post answers; we are all here to help each other. Some answers are from their own personal experiences, their own apps, and some answers are from the CIC website. If you don't think someone's answer is helpful, just say "Thanks. Anyone else out there do it another way or have a different opinion?"

You don't see your response as rude but when half a dozen other posters don't think it was appropriate, you may have to re-consider your position.

I'm not being hasty. When I ask questions I would like to receive advise based on facts or close to it.
I'm worried because you're supposed to fill every box to the best of your ability. I think my reasoning and curiosity is 100% valid. It's actually evident, sorry you don't get it?

I don't know why most of you users are getting so defensive. Relax. I just want advice from someone that is experienced. You don't need to get defensive or take offense to my response. It's very stressful and I want to make sure that everything is 100% okay hence why I am here. If someone responds with advice that isn't helpful to me, I am in my right to say it.

Don't take offense. Try to be understanding as much as you claim to be..
Perhaps you should hire a lawyer, since the advice from members here does not satisfy you.

Paying a lawyer to help you, including answering your myriad of question with what would undoubtedly be sound advice, would be a good investment...wouldn't you agree?
