What to fill in "present" or "today's date"?

There are several places in the application forms where when filling in dates of where you lived or worked it asks the dates, ie "from" "to". The fillable forms only let you write in dates and not "present"

Question is what to do? write present in by hand or put in the date you sign the application?


Specific spots I found where this is an issue:
- IMM 5540 - Sponsor Questionnaire. question 7.
- General Application form. pg 1 , question 10. If you are living in a cournty on a visa, do you put the date the visa expires?
-Schedule A - pg 2, question 8. and pg 3 question 12
-IMM 5490 - Sponsored Spouse Quesionnaire. pg 6, question 21. oddly the next question #22 asks if you currently live together.

I put the current date, especially since some of them won't let you validate without entering a date IIRC.

I'm sure they'll understand, especially since theoretically you should be signing it on the same date as well.

For boxes where a typed number was mandatory to validate the form, i put in today's date.

For any other one I just hand wrote in "to present" to indicate it was still ongoing.

I plan on writing the date my new Visitor's Record expires, if the form will let me. It has to show up first, of course lol.

If it's not here by the time we send in the application, it will be the current date.

Maybe I should do that instead so the VO doesn't think I'm some weirdo who believes she's psychic lol!!!!
