WHAT TO CARRY / WHAT NOT TO CARRY - while moving to Canada ! ! !

Hi

I'm coming first time to canada as a skilled worker. My brother and his wife lives in Canada from past 6years.
I just want to confirm whether i need to carry cash with me like $12000 exactly or its my wish. I mean can i carry any amount but less than $12000??

and can i make draft of that money or i need to carry cash?? or i can just show them that i have this amount of money in bank in india.
I am really too confused..please help me out :'(

You might be deny entry if you carry less than that amount.

well there are various theories regrading carrying the POF at the time of landing. but the bottom line is if u want a hassle free landing after a long waiting period from your application date, U must carry the amount.

I am planning to land Toronto by the end of this month on professional visa (from Pakistan). Looking for guidance about what to bring cash(Minimum CAD), personal documents (as landing as a resident and plans to start studies in the upcoming session March 2019), cell phones/laptops/iron/ voltage converters and chargers, finally clothing and other stuff.
Would be very thankful if somebody can assist me in this regard
