Hello,

In case if you have received below response during US Business Visa Interview, should it be considered as Visa Refusal? The response does not have any wording or sentence which says you have been refused visa.
And with that response what should be the answer to the question "Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country or territory?" in Canada TRV application? Yes or No?

"We regret to inform you that you have been found ineligible for a nonimmigrant visa under section 214(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Under U.S. Immigration Law, all applicants for nonimmigrant visas are presumed to be intending immigrants. In order to be approved for a visa, applicants must satisfy the interviewing officer that they are entitled to the type of visa for which they are applying and that they will depart the United States at the end of their authorized temporary stay. This means that before a visa can be issued, applicants must demonstrate strong social, economic and/or familial ties outside the United States.

Unfortunately, because you either did not demonstrate strong ties outside the United States today or were not able to demonstrate that your intended activities in the U.S. would be consistent with visa status, you are ineligible for a nonimmigrant visa.

Today's decision cannot be appealed. However, you may reapply. If you have additional evidence to demonstrate compelling reasons to depart the United States that you did not present today, you may wish to bring that with you. Otherwise, you should consider reapplying after there has been a significant change in current situation.

If you do decide to reapply, you must submit a new application form and photo and pay the visa application fee again. There can be no guarantee that you will receive a different decision. Only a new interview can determine that."

You should choose Yes and give the same explanation given by US embassy.

The visa application form can not accommodate all of the text mentioned above.
You can mention below paragraph or rewrite concisely to convey the message. If you want you can attach a separate document with entire message.

"Unfortunately, because you either did not demonstrate strong ties outside the United States today or were not able to demonstrate that your intended activities in the U.S. would be consistent with visa status, you are ineligible for a nonimmigrant visa."

Good day everyone. I was rejected a tourist visa to the USA and I'm currently applying for a study Visa to Canada. During the course of filling out my application form, I was asked if I have ever been rejected a visa in Canada or any country. Will saying 'yes' affect my chances of getting a Canadian study visa? Should I say no? Is there a way they track my visa denial history?

Thank you for your urgent response.

Canada and the US share immigration information extensively. If you lie in your application and say "no", Canada will find out very easily. This will most likely result in your application being refused and you may also end up with a five year ban from Canada for misrepresentation.
