Afridi: don't write or fax to them yourself, but get your university to fax them a letter. You may have to draft it for them. When I spoke to my university, they said they will send the letter but that I should write it for them. Make it nice and official and try to get the Chair of your department to sign it.
Also, I went to Gerry's FedEx in Islamabad yesterday to ask them if they knew anything. They said the Embassy is running its own security checks on people and that's what's delaying things. I suspect something like that is going on for most people with delays.

Man you applied very early. You will get your visa inshALLAH. They usually give visa close to when your classes starts. So be patient you will get your visa in one to two weeks. inshALLAH

@Habil... wellll dont u think if i contact a lawyer in canada and jux take some tips from him .. i have a fren in canada and he jux finished with his law.. so dont u think jux discussing my case with him will affect my case... what do you say???
@evolving... well i have already mailed my Advisor and i have asked him for a reference letter..since he is away he will reply me inshallah by tomorrow so lets see what he says.. well if he asks me to write it for him that wud be gud .. can u discuss this thing with me more.. i mean Did ur chairman signed any such letter for u..and did it help.. How did you talk to ur chairman.. i mean my fren told me that teachers dont do that normally.. please guide me in this respect...

Hello.. According to my suggestion don't mail to embassy for your process. It will show your intention for getting the visa only . It shows your intensity to CHC. Just wait for reply. I think god is with u and believe me everything will be perfectly fine. So Pls don't mail or fax to embassy. Let them do their work .
