What proof needs to be provided for urgent processing based on employment?

Hi guys,

I am in the process of looking for a job. Majority of positions in my field require 15%-60% of travelling internationally. So I would like to get some guidance on requesting urgent processing based on employment.

If any of you have experience with this matter please give me advice on what can be provided as a proof that I need a Canadian citizenship for a future employment.

Should it be a complete job contract which explicitly states a requirement to travel internationally? A job offer (accepted or not yet)? Or is it enough to just submit a position description I had interviewed for?

Thanks!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If you could get an official letter from your employer to demonstrate that you have to travel regularly then you may have a good chance to expidate your application process. A travel itinerary might help as well.
The problem is you don't have a job yet.

Well, unless you need to be Canadian for a specific job, it's hard to imagine that needing to travel is a reason to speed the process. After all, you can always ask for visas and your employer should pay for those. Many PRs do that.

That being said, if you have an actual job offer, don't hesitate to ask for that urgent processing. I can definitely be mistaken and it could work. The worst would be to simply be processed normally...

You need to have that job offer that states the offer is contingent on you having citizenship

Hi Guys,

I have the same problem. I finish all the process of getting a federal job. Test, interview, language test, everything is done. Last week, I received an email from the HR required my Canadian citizenship. I sent to them a copy of my PR card, then they told me due to the federal employment law, the priority for a nomination is given to Canadian citizens. At the end, they put me in a pool. Also they told me to send a copy a my Canadian citizen if I become citizen during the validity of the pool.

Do you think that I can use this letter to request an urgent processing for my citizenship?

Hi Guys,

I have the same problem except that I went through the whole steps process of getting a federal job. Test, interview, language test, everything is done. Last week, I received an email from the HR requesting my Canadian citizenship. I sent to them a copy of my PR card, then they told me due to the federal employment law, the priority for a nomination is given to Canadian citizens. At the end, they put me in a pool for 1 year. Also they told me to send a citizenship proof whenever I become Canadian citizen during the validity of the pool.

Do you think that I can use this letter to request an urgent processing for my citizenship?

Considering that you got 1 year to provide proof of citizenship, that doesn't really show the sense of urgency of your request for citizenship. 1 year is plenty of time considering that the expected average timeline for citizenship process is 1 year and that you have already gotten the bulk of the process done.

Sorry Guys, I've miscalculated the deadlines. It's less than 1 year because the pool will expire on March 31, 2019, and I will be eligible for citizenship in september 2018.For now, everything is ready to be sent except my eligibility date. All my trips( 3 in total), my plane tickets and passports are already gathered.

Thanks for advice guys,

A pool is not a job offer , it’s basically the second round of screening, far from a job offer - doesn’t seem likely to get the urgent processing
