Hi,

I have just received my COPR! So happy!!

It does however state that I should have received IMM 5785, but I don't have it. Does anybody know what it is?

Thanks in advance!

Ben

It looks like there is no such form and it's simply an error in the standard letter. The COPR is all you need.

I suggest you edit your previous post to remove your email address. If you wish to share it with another forum member, send a private message.

Hi,

I'm wondering about the exact same thing. My partner's COPR came.. it says it should have IMM 5688 and IMM 5785, but there is 2 copies of 5688, and no 5785. Will this be a problem? I can find no info anywhere and the Canadian commisssion was no help.

zwicker89 - did you ever find out about this? Did you have any issues at the border?

"If you read the wording on the covering letter carefully, it says that often the IMM 5785 is an 'electronic foil' only. Specifically it says 'this means that some of your family members required a counterfoil in their passports while others were issued CoPRs and electronic foils only'. So you would not receive a paper copy nor be expected to fill one out as no such paper form exists. It is either electronic or the counterfoil that CIC would attach to a passport." http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada/FAQ_-_New_Application_Forms#The_CoPR_covering_letter_mentions_form_IMM_5785.2C_but_it_was_not_attached.__Do_I_need_one.3F

We are going thru same. Received CoPR & letter specifically states 'you will be issued with a CoPR AND an electronic foil (IMM5785)' but no idea what foil is. We have been in a maze of confusion just to get this far even with a lawyer.
