if u have completed ur medical and ur an indian u may not have a problem as u may get a decision in couple of weeks provided ur file is complete and u dont do online application......its a risk

Scotiabank Account details are pending or GIC is pending?? If account details are pending then I'll suggest try for January intake its too late now.

Hence, do not worry about it. You have another one week to go. Keep everything else ready and in order. GIC certificate doesn't take a week's time to be issued. So you should get the certificate anytime.

Turn around time to issue account number is 10 days and wire transfer (TT) has a TAT of 3 days. Hence, you should allow 4 to 5 workings days time to get the GIC Certificate (exclude weekends).

After the 1st of August, chances of getting a refusal are high.. But if your documents and profile are good, you may get a visa. I've seen few people get visa even when they applied on 5-6 of August!
