I have received IoT to apply for PR and have not submitted pr application yet. I need to renew my current temporary work permit and the system is asking if I have been approved in principal for PR?
What does that mean? If I have received invitation to apply for PR does it mean I am approved in principal for PR?

No. You have to send in your application first in order to extend your work permit. Approval in Principal for PR means e-APR which you will receive once you have submitted your application

Hi,
you have to submit your PR application first and wait till you get your AOR (which comes usually at the moment you submit the application). When that happens, apply for your BOWP. IRCC than hold your BOWP application till you pass A10 (completeness check) which is 'Approved in principal'.

you have probably wanted to write AOR instead of e-APR. And 'Approval in Principal' means pass of the A10 (Completeness Check) which is also called the second AOR.

I am applying online for BOWP.
system asking me if I am approved in principle?
Should i say yes /no??
If I say no it would give me option for just a Closed wirk permit
but I need a open work permit
