Does the biometric fingerprint mean my application is approved?

I submitted my application in December 2018, and am yet to receive a request for biometrics. Requesting GCMS notes now.

Did you got biometrics? I am jan AOR and still not received BIL request...what ur GCMS notes saying about delay?

We are in a similar situation as you. Applying from Abu Dhabi, UAE. My wife is the primary applicant and we are a family of 4 with two small kids.
ITA received on Dec 19, 2018
AOR : Jan 23rd, 2019.
Biometrics requested on Mar 01
Biometrics submitted on Mar 03

After submitting Biometric, status on profile still shows ' your action is required' . Although the Biometrics details has been updated on our profile main page on the top right corner.

I can see you've been waiting since Oct 2018. DId you finally get your PPR?

How long does it take to hear back from cic about the PR decision once we have submitted the Biometrics at VAC in United States ? Please can someone let me know the timeframe what it is to hear back about the decision on PR application.

They never requested for biometrics and I got my PR. But I visited Canada many times before applying so maybe that's why. I know some other people who weren't asked for their biometrics either.

Biometrics is completely unrelated to whether or not your application is approved or refused.
Some applicants received biometrics request a bit after AOR, while others many weeks later.
PPR is the only good sign that means it's really going well for your application, until the final official "Approved".
Until then, "It ain't over till the fat lady sings!"

I have received my bio metric instruction letter yesterday. I want to ask one thing.
Do I have to upload bio metric my self or will the visa support center will transmit bio metric electronically to ircc.?
If they are going to upload it electronically, do i still have to upload some proof that i have given biometrics?

Yes, usually it happens almost the same day.
