To answer your original question - all the documents you need for the application (birth certificates, previous marriage/divorce paperwork as well as your marriage certificate, documents for all dependents, police report, medical exam). You will need for settling copies of her drivers record (for licensing and insurance), homeowners loss report (for insurance discount), a CD of any health scans (mammogram, etc to give to her new doctors), titles or receipts of valuable belongings. If you are importing a vehicle you need something showing all recall work has been done.

Anybody else care to chime in?

Right louise! That's why I'm doing outland... like sooo many others ^^ Inland is just too risky in case of emergency and also takes too long.

1. if you stay outside Canada while processing outland, you have to present proof that you are settling down in Canada after her PR.
normally, many applicants send a supporting letter from family and friend and maybe job offer (if you have).
However, there is still good chance VO(visa officer) would not satisfy then request more supporting docs regarding to the matter while processing your file.

2. if you plan to come to Canada while processing outland app, you can send a proof that you are in Canada (plane ticket) and searching for job etc. (your wife can come with you or stay in German. it is up to her)

3. it would not affect you married in Germany, as long as you have legal marriage certificate translated in English.

4. you can do medical in Canada or Germany, but it is upfront (you have to do before you send application)
immigration medical is good for a year, so she can do before she send applications.
