Hey guys,

My name is at the EE pool but, I don't have enough points (253) to receive an ITA.

Not to mention that my current Work Permit visa will expire in the end of April (I'm planning to extend my stay and/or apply for a Study Permit, to also get more points later on).

If I have a Job Offer, from what I've heard, I'll get 600 points straight away, more than enough (~440) to receive my ITA!

However, I'm facing a HARD time to get a new job, since the companies doesn't want to sponsor a new Work Permit for me...

This is a ridiculous chicken and egg problem!

So, my question is:

What comes first? A Job Offer or the LMIA?

I mean, if a company can provide a Job Offer, then, I'll receive an ITA, while the LMIA is ongoing... Is that right?

Thanks!
Thiago

You need an approved LMIA to claim job offer points. So you need an approved LMIA BEFORE you can get ITA. Also - it's not 600 points. It's either 50 or 200 depending on the skill level of the role.

Hi
Try other alternatives to boost your points like CELPIP and WES. Because if you meet certain grid level. You can easily apply for PNP to get 600 points
