This wouldn't work with mass exams; if they have 1000 people taking the test online at the same time, they would need to hire 1000 proctors to watch them individually and constantly. They could be hiding notes in blind spots that the webcam can't see after the initial sweep. Someone could even use a family member or hire someone to take the exam for them. The only way to ensure no one is cheating is to have do it in-person.Cisco and Microsoft have turned to at-home testing and they are doing just fine. They insist you install their own exam software so they know what programs you have running, and you have to be on webcam with minimal fidgeting and you have to show them a 360 of the entire room before you start.
It's legit and it is potentially the way moving forward.
I highly doubt the naysayers have a clue about at-home examinations. I'm facing up to 6 exams @ home this year so it's very real.
