They said courier it by yourself and add MUs address in the "From" section. I bothered them so much that they announced this to 30 people who had come for attestation. I have couriered my documents. Lets see what happens.

No please dont do that. If they need directly from university than there is a form that the university sends along with the transcripts, to confirm it is directly coming from the University.

This is not required for all univs, for my masters they have not asked me to fill this in the WES account but for my bachelor's they have asked me to get this filled. Have written to WES to check if this is mandatory or can this be skipped if the required documents are provided by the univ without filling in the form.

My University (MDU, Rohtak) also denied point blank. Some sensible officer in the Registrar's office opined that it is not a question of a simple one line change...it is an entire process change because they will have to create provision in their application forms (online and/or offline versions) to first add the fields to capture the Address and WES Reference Numbers (to where the transcripts will have to be sent) plus they will have to calculate & apply fee increase to accommodate courier + additional service charges. Also, International couriers from India require KYC, i.e. an ID proof has to be attached of the sender (whose will it be, I don't know). Most of the Universities do not have an International Courier Policy. The University will have to make several such changes. All these changes take time and require procedural approvals after deliberations at higher levels. No University will do whimsical changes just because some particular Company in some corner of the world has changed its policies.

Update-1: I raised this issue with WES Customer Care 3 days back and they came back with the reply as follows (sic):
"Thank you for your inquiry.
You can leave your file open as long as necessary for the university to send us the required documents. Unfortunately the only other option is to drop the credential from your application.
Since the university was already attesting and sealing marks, hopefully they will shortly come up with a plan on sending those sealed envelopes.
Thank you for your patience,
WES Customer Service"

Update-2: After seeing the above response, I realised that it is no good use wasting time with them. I have cancelled my application with WES today and have asked for a refund of my fees. Their FAQs on refund state that they will deduct CAD 50, which is fine. I'd rather choose one of the other ECA evaluators who are more sensible with their policies.

Update-2: After seeing the above response, I realised that it is no good use wasting time with them. I have cancelled my application with WES today and have asked for a refund of my fees. Their FAQs on refund state that they will deduct CAD 50, which is fine. I'd rather choose one of the other ECA evaluators who are more sensible with their policies.

This is a truly bad situation - but I'm sure it will be very common in India. All the best in finding a more reasonable ECA provider, and please do report back once you have.

It seems the situation arouse with many fraudulent documents coming from India which were either completely fake or modified. The situation is sad indeed but is essential so that genuine candidates do not lose their opportunities. Good luck.

Hi..I just wanted to confirm..how wes will come to know that documents have been sent directly by University or by Individual..As I discussed with the Academic staff of university, they told me they don't have any process as of now but still if they will send my document will use the same courier company through which I can also send the documents..so how come WES differntiate..already on sealed envelope University address is mentioned in "From" section..Now who is sending should not be the point ..after this I was answerless..If anyone done this through university pls suggest what different University has done while sending...

Its better you contact WES via phone/email and describe to them the predicament you are under. I say this because WES is not a small firm with 5 people in it, their reach is unformidable. So always thread with caution when dealing with such situations. Good luck.

Same situation here, trying to gather more information from VTU ..will contact them directly next week.. They already have an option to send the transcripts to address outside India which costs additional rs 1500/- Probably we can use this option so that they send the transcripts directly to WES.

Please let us know if you managed to find alternative to WES who are more sensible with their policies... I am yet to start my application with WES,this would help

Anyone from AKTU(UPTU) University lucknow, tried for transcript, I am not able to reach them, no mail reply and their office phone is also not working.

If anyone visited there, please share feedback,. are they ready to send the transcript?
