WES received Masters documents but not Bachelors

Hi Guys,

I have run into a problem where I filed for ECA on WES and mentioned my Masters as well as Bachelor's degree. I did, however, send my masters degree transcript from Rutgers University (USA) to WES, but couldnt send my Bachelors marksheets as they werent attested and getting them attested meant I would have to go to India to get that done.

Now I received a notification from WES saying that they are waiting on my Bachelors documents whereas they have received my masters documents. I have my bachelors transcripts attested (from my undergrad college in India but they require attestation from Mumbai University and also need attestation of marksheets of all the semesters)

Of course I knew I was taking a chance by sending WES only my Masters degree and expecting them to complete evaluation based only on that. Is there a way I can, now, request WES to complete evaluation based only on my masters degree as thats the highest degree I have received.

Yes, you can reply to WES to proceed with only the evaluation of the masters and issue the ECA for only that. You can request that they leave out the bachelors. Should you choose to later complete/ get an ECA for the bachelors, you'll pay a separate evaluation fee for it at that time.

Thanks. Yeah I just sent them a note through their contact us page and asked them to complete the ECA only with Masters degree. Is there any other way I can let them know? On a side note, would IRCC still ask for my bachelors evaluation anytime into the application process for Express Entry?

You either send them a note through the 'contact us' page or send them a fax with the fax number listed there. On a side note, would IRCC still ask for my bachelors evaluation anytime into the application process for Express Entry? They would only request for it if you wish to claim points for it but I believe your Masters should be adequate.

Just to update, WES asked me to let them know the details of evaluation I would like to remove from my report. I removed the BE evaluation and now they are evaluating my Masters credentials.

Hi. can you let me know what did you do? If we only get the Masters evaluated with WES and not Bachelors is that fine for PR application?
Does IRCC accept only the highest degree evaluation or it needs both Bachelors and Masters.

Depends on the country you do masters from. Masters from the US is accepted without the bachelors

Masters and Bachelors both are from India. So in that case is the evaluation needed for both degrees?

Wouldn’t know. My masters is from the US. Please check at https://applications.wes.org/required-documents

Depends on the country you do masters from. Masters from the US is accepted without the bachelors

What about UK?
