WES Procedures - University of Mumbai

Hello,

I have completed my BE from Mumbai University. As per WES, it was mentioned that they require
Degree Certificate (Final or Provisional)
and
Annual Statement of Marks/Official Transcript (full transcript was provided by my college and attested by principal and sealed)

Both of these were provided and sent to them.

Now, they have rejected my Annual Statement of Marks/Official Transcript
Reason: Document was not received in accordance with WES stated document requirements.

Instructions: Mark sheets representing years 1 and 4 of study must be issued and attested by the University of Mumbai. Mark sheets for years 2 and 3 of your study program (semesters 3-6) can be issued and attested by the University of Mumbai or the college you attended.

Do I need to send the actual mark sheet (xerox & attested by Mumbai University) to WES? (since they have mentioned WES does not accept mark sheets that have been issued and/or attested by the college you attended unless you attended a constituent college or autonomous college)

1. Max 25 document attestation done at single visit.

2. For WES they give only one attested copy of Document Set.

3. Collection time for Documents changed from W.E.F 1st February 2018 from 2.30PM to 5.00 (Monday to Friday, 1st and 3rd Saturday).

#######Procedure for WES only.

1. Transcript

Apply for transcript in your respected college. They charge fee varies from 100-1000 RS.

Take B&W or Color Xerox of X+1 no copies. Also take envelope X+1 no’s

Attest transcript for your college year (For example- I completed my engineering from Mumbai university where 2nd and 3rd year exam conducted by college and 1st and 4th year exam conducted from Mumbai University).

So in this case I had to attest 2nd and 3rd year Mark sheet and transcript from college then Put in Envelope, seal it, Take Stamp of college and Sign of Principal. Do not open or tampered the Sealed and Signed Envelope

2.University Attestation.

Take B&W or Color Xerox of X+1 no copies of All Transcript and Marksheets (or Also you can attest only University Year Transcript and Marksheet which for Engineering are 1st and 4th year).

Also take envelope X+1 no’s

Fill the form and submit X+1 number of copies and X+1 Number envelope once your turn arrived, they will charge you 6rs Per Copy and handover you a receipt (Keep it safe).

3. Collecting Documents.

After 4 to 5 days Check Status on following website : Department of Students' Development

It will show date and Status as “Ready for Collection”

Reach there by 2.30PM and collect your documents. Keep original receipt with you for collecting documents.

Also they just stamp on envelope backflip, they do not seal it.

You can check all documents if attestation is missing for any doc contact them

Hi,
I need to send my documents to WES. I was checking for some courier offers by FedEx or DHL. But I got reply saying the student offers are valid only for sending courier to universities and not WES. And it would cost me Rs.4000.
So has anyone sent their documents through FedEx opting for student offer? And has it reached WES properly?
All any other chesper courieroption for sending documents?

Same course, right? Collect all documents - transcript (from college/MU; attested as well by them), marksheets, passing certificate, and degree certificate, and get them attested by MU (the B&W xeroxes of course). Put them in one envelope and mail it across. Simple.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I have a few queries, I will be really grateful if you can resolve them.

Now, I have completed Bcom and my post graduation in MMS. I have collected the sealed transcripts for both degrees from my respective colleges but these transcripts lists all the semesters. For instance Bcom (1-4 semesters by college and 5-6 by university). My marks are mentioned from 1-6 semesters in the transcripts.

Correct my understanding with respect to the steps to be followed for WES ICAP verification.

1. Get the sealed transcipts from college.
2. Go to MU with mark-sheets/Convocation and verify your marksheets
3. Put the sealed transcripts received from college along with the sealed envelope received from MU in one single envelope with WES ref no written wherever applicable.

I require clarity as to where should I include the photocopies for Mark-sheet in the envelope and what exactly will MU verify, 5th and 6th semester or semester 1-6?

The 1st and 2nd sem was conducted by the college itself whereas few subjects of 3rd and 4th sem were conducted by Mumbai University. I got marksheet of 1st and 2nd sem from my college whereas 3rd and 4th sem marksheet is from Mumbai University.
Please guide me on obtaining transcript and attestation under such scenario to avoid any kind of rejection from WES.

either you're having the shittiest luck with wes or there is something wrong that you didn't realise. I am going for the latter. lets break it down

you are getting only your Bcom degree evaluated. so -

1. marksheets for FY & SY (4 semesters - all showing the subjects taken and marks received) - plain b&w xerox copies, attested by college, in stamped and sealed envelopes. has wes ref number on the cover.

2. marksheets for TY (2 sems) + degree certificate saying passed bcom blah blah - attested by univ , stamped sealed envelope

now tell me if anything was different. one more thing you can do is call up wes (it'll take forever for them to respond, but around 9:00-10:00 am canada time is the best hour to call). find out exactly why they rejected , she will give you generic response. probe her a little, tell her what you sent were exactly as per wes requirements. speak to her in a gentle persistent tone, she'll most definitely be able to tell u what you missed or it could be a genuine fault of wes, which if you make her realise, they will update it.. all the best

Can you tell me as mentioned in point 1 for BCOM, marksheets (year 1&2) are required. Transcripts are not valid?

And when I am sharing the envelope with WES, should I share both marksheets and transcripts or only marksheets? (This will also include the sealed envelope which I will get from churchgate MU)

I am following the same steps for my postgraduate degree as well.

It won't be an issue if I send everything (graduate and post graduation) in one envelope to WES?

Right now I have received the transcripts for my graduate and post graduate degrees. So for now I am validating the semesters conducted by MU(churchgate) for both the degrees.

But I am stuck at the transcripts or marksheets query.

Will college provide transcripts for individual years? I mean 1 for F. Y. 2nd for S.Y. and 3 for TY? Or it would be a combined doc indicating all year details?

If college is giving a separate one, do we need to get university year transcript zeroxed and then go to mu for attestation ? Thanks in advance

you can opt for individual year if you want, but I don't see the point in that. Get all years done aka combined doc. MU, for all MU courses, attests all documents - college marksheets, college transcripts (compulsory if you completed your course more than a decade ago; MU will not attest your documents without this - trust them with this, they are familiar with the WES process), convocation cert, and passing cert.

Attestation is done only on XEROXES - no original documents are attested by the uni, they are only checked to verify if your xeroxes are authentic.

Get transcript from college and then get all documents - marksheets, transcript, degree certificate, passing certificate - attested from the university. Refer to @makarand2474 post (post #32) on this thread for remaining info.

I have received my MU certified marksheets along with transcript from college. However, the MU envelope is not sealed only a stamp has been put on back side. What to do now as WES says need only sealed envelope to be sent.
