WES evaluation of Gujarat University BBA degree

Hi All,

I am seeking your guidance in a matter of WES evaluation. I have done my BBA Bachelor of Business Administration from Gujarat University. As per WES’s online evaluation tool, it shows that my university is not a NAAC grade A university and is therefore considered as ‘community college diploma’ and not bachelors degree. This brings down my CRS points considerably as my masters degree post this will also not be considered valid since they claim I don’t have the bachelors degree to begin with (I hope I make sense).

Is there a way around this? Has anyone faced a similar issue with WES evaluation of Gujarat University 3 year degree?

Kindly guide me if I need to get any additional documents to prove it’s a valid bachelors.

Regards,
Arpita

WES's free online evaluation tool is not an accurate tool to get your ECA equivalency.

Go ahead with your ECA, it should be fine. If you still feel uncomfortable with WES, you can get your ECA through other evaluation agency such as CES, BCIT-ICES, IQAS, ICAS.

Thank you for your reassuring response. I guess the consensus from all my conversations is that going ahead with the ECA is the only sure shot way to know where I will stand.

I would still appreciate if someone from personal experience with Gujarat University would response. But in the meantime, I shall go ahead with my ECA process with WES.

Thank you very much!

I can tell you from my personal experience: That free tool listed my degree as a Bachelor's degree but it got evaluated as a "4 years of professional study in Optometry" by WES. So, I don't like to follow that tool. That evaluation helped me in getting points equal to that of a Master's.
